Well so far so good, Mexico did not let me down, made 83 bucks today. Felt tempted to bet on Argentina to win Colombia but the payout is quite pathetic. If my winning streak continues, I won't have to feel guilty splurging cash on the new Manchester United jersey. The new jersey looks much better than the current one. Too bad it did not arrive before the GST hike increase, prob take a few more weeks.
Yesterday I made a decision, yes I think its time to quit wengfai's team. Wasn't exactly happy playing defence together with Han, he forever going up to attack but take his time to come back. I don't agree on the way the ball is passed around. I personally prefer to keep possession, passing the ball to the midfielders from defence, but when the midfielders are caught in possession by the opponents, they will say don't play around in our own half. Pumping the ball up aimlessly is not ideal to me, its a 50-50 chance of losing precious possession. Over the months, I still feel that my style cannot connect with the team. Maybe its best to leave for greener pastures. After all Timonty's team isn't too bad either, they play near my house and in the noon unlike 9am matches.
Anyway my dad came back from the Malaysia holiday with a cough after eating all the seafood and karaoke singing. My mom insisted on giving him the drink with leaves plucked from my neighbour's plants, yes the bitter one. I could see that he was forcing it down his throat reluctantly, haha.
In celebration of TCS 25yrs of broadcasting channel 8 dramas, they have recently re-run many old dramas which was filmed in the late 80s and early 90s. I found it hilarious when I saw the actors and actresses who are acting as uncles and ah sohs now used to be the ah gers and ah jies back then. Some of them look so plump now but when they were young, they were quite slim and toned. Mons and tues 130am and sat 230pm programmes are my favourite.

In yesterday's post, I mentioned about the coffin being dug out of the field below my house. Well it made it to page 8 of the home section of today's straits times. Six other coffins were reportedly being dug out and the reports claim that the field used to be some teochew burial ground. Sweet. To think I used to happily play soccer on that field last time. The field is currently being constructed to be Serangoon sunshine park. My dad was boasting to me that he came out with the name at the Resident committee meeting. So I guess credit to him, history is made, in future should anyone challenge me in the park say 'eh ur father own this land ah', at least I can guai lan back 'he name the place leh'. Haha just for laughs.
Au Revoir Henry
Lets not make a big deal out of Henry leaving Arsenal for Barca. EPL may have lost one of the biggest star on world stage but then again how many times did we hear his name last season. When Cantona left Man Utd abruptly in 97, a big deal was made out of it but then new names like Beckham took over the limelight. For me, Henry wasn't spectacular last season, he used to be a good player but recently I noticed that he would blame referees for any ball that he lost. He might be abusing his 'honest player' tag abit more often, prob trying to influence the ref that he does not play dirty and if he ever lost the ball, it would be because the opponent has fouled him. Then again Barca will have made a good bargain if they can suit him into the threesome of Ronaldinho, Messi and Eto'o.
I am currently still deciding on which language to learn. I am stuck between German, Spanish and French. My dad used to be able to speak German, my sis is quite adapt at French so maybe I should pick up Spanish, then would be able to understand La Liga better. I used to be able to speak a few basic German words when I was in Jc, partially because I was into a German punk rock band Rammstein. I would decipher the lyrics from a site that would translate the words into English. I now wonder what made me learn Malay during the second sem of my first yr in ntu, anyway I dropped it after the first lesson, became a bit stupider after that.
Found out that quite a couple of committees in hall experiencing alot of chaos and cock ups no thanks to the mess that HAS created. I am not in a position to comment on stuff, all I know is that HAS has a lot to answer for. In a way, lucky I never join any committee, with all the shit currently happening around, I dun think I would be able to handle it well given my foul mouth and temper.

Today while my father was looking over my room window, he noticed that the field below our flat which has been undergoing construction recently yielded a coffin. Seems that the contractors while digging the ground discovered it. My dad being a kaypoh went down and asked the contractor about it, turns out that the coffin was empty. The field below my estate used to have many bizarre happenings. When I was still in primary school, they discovered a Bangladeshi worker hanging dead on a tree which was at least 4-5 stories high. There was no ladder so foul play was suspected. I pity the private house owners who currently reside on that land now, maybe at night they got extra family member. Maybe I shd spin my own story and tell it on incredible tales.

In today's newspaper of TODAY, it was reported that Tony Blair is ready to become a Roman Catholic. However the Pope was said to be unmoved because he opposed Mr Blair of supporting the US-led invasion of Iraq. He also didn't agree on Mr Blair's views on abortion, stem cells research which goes against traditional catholic views. Furthermore Mr Blair used to be an Anglican.
In my humble opinion, Pope Benedict XVI should be the last human being to air his views. First of all, a couple of months back, Pope Benedict in a random speech 'accidentally' insulted the Muslims, criticising something offensive. He then had to make a trip to Turkey to make an official apology. Talk about someone making a mistake, here is a prime example.
Now personally I agree that wars are morally wrong, but what about the holy crusades in the past? Millions of lives were killed because Christians and Muslims were fighting over Jerusalem, the holy land which both sides claim as rightfully theirs. Even till today, Arabs and Jews fight over it. As George Carlin said, more wars have been fought in the name of God than any other wars in history, so Mr Pope Benedict, before u tok about the Iraq war, clean ur arse first.
Secondly the Vatican does not support abortion and stem cells research. Alright on moral grounds, they might have a point in abortion but wat about stem cells? Sure scientist are trying to 'play god' but think about how many people can be cured of their disabilities and diseases with the research. Its easy for the Vatican to say so, they are not the ones suffering from any illnesses.
Lastly so what if Mr Blair used to be an Anglican. Prisons and drug rehabilitation centres have banners and slogans saying Jesus loves you , everyone deserves a second chance, Jesus will welcome anyone regardless of background with open arms. My eyebrows are definitely raised here. If an Anglican who wishes to convert to Catholicism is viewed with suspicion by the Vatican, surely more questions can be raised if they can welcome ex-prisoners and drug addicts. What message are they sending out here? That Mr Blair as a politician has a different set of criteria, that the Vatican practises selection?
WANKERS!!!

Yesterday I did some 'factory' work at DHL. Initially I though it was gonna be sweat in there, turns out that the place was fully air-conditioned. The job scope was to find stock and count them, make sure the figures tally. Now as simple as it sounds, we had to recount some stocks which were earlier counted by some Malays, obviously they cocked it up so we had to clear up the mess for them. The staff were quite desperate at first, asking everyone who could work ot until 11pm, but when I realise that for every two hours, the staff took a 'mandatory' 30min tea break. Take away tea-time, the job could have been finished earlier. Quite a few others including myself were doing things to look busy, trying to show that we are doing something which in fact not. At times, we were just pushing the trolley around the warehouse pretending to look for something but just toking cock away.
I can't wait for Asia cup, Copa America and Rugby world cup to start, my betting instincts are feeling itchy.

Window shopping is a very dangerous hobby to indulge in. I would label it as a sin. Earlier today I made my way to the central National Library to borrow some books. Since I was in the vicinity, I thought why not just drop by Suntec and do some window shopping. I ended up at the nike shop where I saw a Critiano Ronaldo shirt, it was on sale and pretty nice and so zap, I bought it. Then I went over to the neighbouring Royal Sporting House where I caught the Adidas Predator boots going for $14o, usual price $299. No shit, it is Kangaroo leather not synthetic plastic. It was simply a crazy bargain I could not refuse. It is only about 2years old but with Adidas coming out new models every few months, I suppose they deem it as an old model and try to get rid of it fast. Anyone who is interested to buy better hurry, only a few sizes left, 8.5 and 9. Definitely a good deal and these deals only come around once in a blue moon.

I'm back from my reservist training and also sick at the same time, guess my body is not used to the dust and smoke from outfield training. It was good to see that almost of my platoon men came back. The first day many of us including myself were caught by the rsm for long hair and so had to spend 5 bucks just to zip off the back of my hair. But other than that, being a reservist has its privileges, we could walk around camp without head dress, unbutton clothes, cut the parade square. For the VCs, we even drove and guided the broncos without helmets.
Most of definitely put on weight since leaving the army, many had to unbutton the side buttons on their trousers. I also know why I was called up for the armour road relay run, while I thought running 11min was slow, it seems that after Zhan Rui and Ben, my timing is the next fastest. It was a shocker to see so many people who used to get gold timings last time flunk their 2.4km run now. But looking back on the past week, I would still say this ICT was pretty alright, at least no one shouted at us or threaten us with signing extras.
I am so disappointed that I am sick, my dad bough bak kwa yesterday and I can only see it and not touch it. Hope my cough recovers soon.

Tmr is ICT and I shall be gone for five days. Till now, I am still not mentally prepared and really dun give a shit about this whole reservist thingy, they better dun play punk with me.
My secondary school class gathering kinda flopped last night, could tell that we still have cliques among ourselves, I could see Annie wasn't comfortable talking to Chen Yee while Eleanor and Chee Keong just stared into blank space, is this what has become of us after leaving secondary school? But of course as the night progressed, we gradually broke the ice and it was nice to find out how each of us did after leaving school, would love to see more gatherings in future but I will definitely not be the one organising it.
My legs are about to cramp now after today's testimonial game, we won 2-1, a perfect ending. We were at full squad except for Joseph. This has to be my best game in months, haven't displayed such form for quite some time, if I were to rate myself I would give myself 10/10, no shit. I would like to attribute my display to my new inspiration, Nemanja Vidic! Full credit to the opponents, no sloughs themselves, coming straight at us right from the second half, fortunately thanks to me and Gab, we held firm. Ben Chen though disappointing, waste my time going up for corners. Chill dude, next time dun hero play earlier game la.
My mom is so sweet, knowing full well I will be eating shitty food for ICT, she cooked mee sua with sliced abalone for dinner, wonderful.

So I finally cleared my Ippt yesterday, yea I got my silver and 200 bucks but still left disappointed with my performance. I did eleven pull ups, going below my usual 12 for the first time. Thankfully I still managed to jump 239 for broad jump, but for my 2.4km run I ran 11 17, guess I shouldn't have eaten too much corn flakes before the test, ok that was a weak excuse. Well at least I can use the money to pay for my nike shoes, puma soccer boots and Manchester United shirts without feeling too guilty.
Next monday will be ICT, just heard news from ang that my whole section gonna chao keng, only ke fucheng will be coming back which is great news to me, I suppose it will be an excuse to lobo.
After watching episode 22 of lost last night, I was left more bewildered. More new characters are coming in and I can forsee Lost ending up like another x-files with no ending. At least heroes is heading to some direction. For pple who are bored with life, click on this link to watch heroes and lost. http://www.watchheroes.sitesled.com/

So far so good, have been sticking to my running regime everyday and come next week's Ippt, I should get at least a silver. I should be able to run at least below 10.45min. I have also cut down on late night snacking and supper, part of the motivation comes by telling myself to save money. I plan to save enough money and hopefully when I graduate, I aim to backpack in Italy, France, Spain and England. The main goal is to catch a live Manchester United game at old trafford, ideally a champions league or premier league home match. I definitely do not wish to die without being part of the atmosphere there.
Next monday is my quiz for my elective, economics of manufacturing. I have to say I learnt and enjoyed this elective as compared to previous ones. Furthermore my project mates are the steady type and gung ho in doing work, unlike Mr Aldyco from my tech com group.
Yesterday I went down to SGH to screen my blood to see if it is suitable for a hall friend's father. Although I do not know exactly the condition and haven't heard any news from the hospital, I wish her father a speedy recovery.
Oh ya and Happy Vesak Day to everyone out there tmr.

HAS - HOSTEL ANTI SINGAPOREAN
The trip down to pasir ris park today was not worth the trip in the end. The run which was slated to start at 8am started at ard 9am instead as we had to wait for the 'big fuck' to arrive. Somemore the run only ard 2.4km, I could have easily ran in my estate and save the travelling time. I seriously don't give a fuck about the armour road relay run, even if we were to win we wouldn't be getting any incentive anyway. So I suppose for subsequent trainings, they can have fun running themselves, I will be on my lovely bed sleeping instead.
I realised what being a Singaporean male in Singapore means. It means giving 2.5 yrs of my precious life to serve the nation which one cannot argue about. After serving the nation, instead of recognising our efforts, we are treated like second class or third class citizens. Whenever we want to apply for intersem electives, some of us may not get to take any elective due to reservist trainings which puts us at a disadvantage against the foreigners.
Now here comes the best part, HAS has deemed that my points are not enough to stay on next year and thus my application fails. The foreigners therefore are benefiting because due to distance points, they need not participate in any activities. During the December holidays, instead of working to earn money, I took part in soccer and sepak takraw, organised trainings for rugby. Both rugby and takraw went quarters and semis. So after sweating my guts out in the hot sun, dear HAS has conveniently decided that nah fuck off ur contribution is pathetic.
If I remember correctly, Lee Kong Chian donated a lot of money to set up NTU so that future Singaporeans will have the chance to study. Right now, instead of helping us, they are kicking us out of hall so that "parasites" or 'infectious bastards' can stay on our land which our forefathers slogged their life away for and take our place instead.
If I don't get back my room I promise HAS or The Prof in charge of student affairs that they will hear a series of swear words from me. After the time and effort I put in during dec holidays, u do this to me, I make sure I curse ur future generations. In fact I am already.

SAF - SEVERELY AIMLESSLY FUCKEDUP
The Great Singapore Sale starts today and already I got a big bargain, the army called me at 9am while I was still sleeping to inform me that I have to report for some armour run training tmr at Pasir Ris park 8am. This is the kind of news that wakes me out of bed instantly and I mean instantly. I retorted that it was last min and asked why this was so and the clerk said that I should have received some letter a few weeks ago which I didn't. Son of a bitch, thinking back I shouldn't have picked up any unknown number, that way I can claim ignorance.
To be honest I don't mind running to train fitness but to be informed in this manner on the eve of the run is totally unbecoming of the army. The army is trying to reinvent itself as some world class organisation. I say the administration is world class horseshit. And report at 8am tmr somemore! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! This is what I hate about the Army, controlling the time you do things, what time u wake up and sleep and eat. To pre-enlistees out there, do not be fooled by the advertisements on TV, 'if your life was a dream, would it be a good one? ' I can answer a big NO!, it will be a living nightmare.
True to Giggs word, The Prestige is a great show, pretty impressive I would say and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't watched it yet. It has entered my hall of must watch movies fame. Christian Bale carries himself off very well, he is very charismatic and suave. He is very cool in his acting just like in Batman Begins. In the Prestige he finally shows his class. In fact he was my choice for James Bond when they were still deciding who to cast.

Like true Italians, Milan did justice for themselves when they absorbed all play and deliver the sucker punch to Liverpool. With three British clubs in the semis, all talk was of at least one of the British club winning the champions league but AC Milan taught them a lesson in football. Age was said to be the weakness for Milan but they have shown that class and composure are all it takes to win in football. The British clubs may be more adventurous and physically stronger but they were never gonna match the sublime passing skills of kaka and Pirlo. Mascherano and Carragher have impressed me for Liverpool while Maldini and Nesta both showed that old vintage still has its value.
My Ippt test is due in two more weeks and so far so good I have done jogging for the past four nights and I can feel my legs getting more solid. Hopefully my hamstring will not give way this sunday, heard its gonna be against some Myanmar team so I expect another tiring game.

After watching the good shepherd and the illutionist, my respect for Matt Damon and Edward Norton has risen up a few notches, Norton has acted many roles which I think not many actors can do, most in my opinion are stuck with one role, say for example Aston Kutcher, Sean Scott Williams and Ben Stiller, all of them are sort of condemned with funny guy roles.
Yet so far the only movie that has impressed me is Turista, a Brazilian movie with a surreal storyline. I am hoping the Prestige will at least match it for after that I will have no more movies on my laptop.

In my opinion, while both sides played cautious football, Manchester United had the more clearer chances to finish off the game and have the FA cup trophy written with their names on it but full credit to Michael Essien who time and time again denied them with last min tackles, no doubt deserving to be the man of the match. I'll bet my last dollar anytime that he will win player of the year or at least African player on the year someday. He is the only player other than John Terry and Petr Cech that I ever will respect in Chelsea. Compared to his fella African counterpart Drogba, a man with stature of 1.9m height frame and at least 80kg, Drogba falls down to ground easier than Kate Moss would if she had been pushed. A few seasons ago Jens Lehnman was my vote of wanker of the year but no doubt in recent years Drogba has been the absolute unanimous choice for wanker of the year.
Rooney had a storm of a game especially when he single handedly ran past the chelsea defenders with ease before last min ditch tackles prevented him from scoring. Just like two years ago when Man Utd played much better football than Arsenal and still lost, they were left to rue their chances when they conceded a sucker punch from Drogba but there is no shame in the way they played and they can hold their chins up high. Another day will come.

Last night's episode of survivor fiji island was interesting. I call it a caught with your pants down moment.
Yau Man who had ealier won a car in a reward challenge a few weeks ago offered to give it to dreamz on the condition that should they still be around at the final challenge and should dreamz win the immunity, he would have to give it to Yau Man instead.
When it came to the final reward challenge, Dreamz did indeed win the immunity and attention shifted to whether he would honour his word. Yet when they went back to camp, he suddenly told everyone that if he were to really give up the immunity to Yau Man he would most probably be the one voted out and started to talk about strategy instead of living up to his word.
When it came to walk the walk, he went back on his word and to add insult to injury, not only did he not give the immunity to Yau Man, he voted him off as well.
When it came to the final voting by the jury, the jury were allowed to ask the final contestants questions before making their decision on their vote. Basically Dreamz was a dead man walking right from the start with everyone accusing him of betrayal and lying throughout the game. True enough survivor is a game where backstabbing is inevitable and majority of winners had to backstab someone to climb to the top. Dreamz argued that in the real world, backstabbing and deceit are just part of life. Fair enought but I bet he did not saw it coming when Boo asked him a simple question. "Dreamz, when you went back on your word and decided not to give the immunity to Yau Man, were you at that point playing the game as a Christian or just part of your strategy? " Dreamz then went on to explain how those two cannot be linked and that the game blah blah blah..... Boo then slammed him by saying that the devil in him had tempted him with money and he was an immature Christian.
I personally believe that if you are a Christian or a believer in any religion, you should live life with honesty and integrity, all the talk about playing it as a game is plain horseshit. If you can't accept it, then don't boast around about how God or Jesus is almighty and Holy, I for one do not subscribe to any religion so if people wan to accuse me of cheating and backstabbing, go ahead, I am not perfect. I find it interesting when Christians like to link all the postives in life to God helping and making it happen but when shit happens there is a long silence. They tend to conviniently block out of the negatives in life and when good things happen, "praise be to the lord". Wankers!!!
Of course this does not apply to all christians quite simply for the layman fact that some christians give themselves a bad name or should I say some people pretend to be Christians for some oblivious reasons, the weatherman might attest to this fact. Case closed.
Wankers!!!

I will be perfectly honest to say that today I played poorly by my standards. Bollocks as the British would say. I haven't reached the same standard since playing for Helmi, been playing too much 'relac' football ever since then. Worst of all, my niggling hamstring problem has resurfaced again.
Been watching Championship division one football on tele, I think WBA will be promoted looking at their quality, feel tempted to bet again. Also managed to borrow the autobiography of Ashley Cole from orchard library, interesting to read his opinion of Van Nisterooyl, habits of Rio Ferdinand and Thierry Henry and his version of the tapping up incident. I enjoy reading soccer players biographies because it offers a deeper insight of what acutally goes on behind the scenes in the dressing room and training ground. Ashley Cole offered some clues as to who threw the pizza on Alex Ferguson in the famous Battle Of Buffet at old trafford when we ended their 49 unbeated run. He was gracious not to mention the name but said that it wasn't an Englishman or French so that should narrow it down.
Tmr will be the first day of work. Right now I have the sudden craving to eat tau huey. Oh ya and I found out that the army has called me up again, making it three time I have to go back this holidays, they do really know how to waste tax payers money. Well fuck it for now.

I am pissed off right now because I've just received another msg telling me that I have been called up again on the 27th july at Pasir Ris camp, which means I have to report for reservist twice this holidays on top of my one week ICT in early june. Army damn free, got nothing better to do must call me up to waste my time. Fuck!
Now I have a dilemma, last sun I agreed to play for wengfai team this sun. Then later on I got an email from my cousin regarding my niece's one month birthday this sun, then later on Ben ask me to play for his team this sunday also. Ideally I should play for Ben's team, the match is at Tanglin which makes it closer for me to the lunch at Farrer park, besides the field condition is superb too but then Leung just informed me that including me this sunday there will be only eleven players so technically should I stun him and throw smoke now, there will not be enuff players and I will be a hypocrite. Though its at Jurong, somehow I am more inclined to play for them. Ever since I joined his family team, I have also felt part of his family too. Decision to ponder again.
When all hope seems lost, when all hope seems vague, I have to thank Hoegaarden beer for being there for me always as it is for me now. Damn it, just when I was about to have another sip, Doreen just stunned me wif another mind game sms.....Fuck!

In the end after all the talk I landed up playing for Ben Chen team today, lost to the ACS(i) team 5-2. Chen scored both goals from one on one and a free kick. They had many subs while we only had one and on top of it I couldn't continue the game after I cramped my calf muscle. However I felt that his team had no structure and organisation. I may be responsible for the second and third goal but overall I think my performance was still better than most of his teamates. The defenders beside me gave me a nightmare for most periods of the game, understand that they were last min call up but still..... After so long away from soccer, I was struggling with some of my touches, could see that RongXing was having the same problem. To conclude, Chen u man of the match still la, what are u waiting for, go join the S-League and kelong!
Yes finally Manchester United are itching closer to the EPL trophy. To think a few months ago, Mourinho had the audacity to say that United wouldn't last the race as there was no depth in the squad. Mourinho ah Mourinho, kiang tio ho, mai gei kiang.
Anyway sorry Ben for all the talk on msn, me and Rong Xing deciding not to play for ur team later today in the end. I shy la, scared cock up for ya team, somemore playing against acs school team after three months exile, I sure pangchek. Anyway glad to know u have been playing soccer regulary for ur sunday and Sim team, training under Lee Man Hon somemore. I think next year u can overtake Cristiano Ronaldo for player of the year award. Keep it up!

Before the exams, I promised myself to train hard for the coming IPPT after my exams were done and I did the exact opposite of it. For the past two days, I spent a lot of money in Geylang, no not on that kind but on food food food. Thurs was to catch up with friends and to relax in the swimming club. Yesterday was an impromtu decision to go Geylang and eat tau huey. Then Mr kok suggested going into some laup saab bar which played ah beng techno, it was funny seeing old uncles dancing away and flirting with the xiao jies. I think one of the uncle I saw yesterday is actually my block neighbour, shd have taken his photo and blackmail him. Hahaha. The itinery for next week is also gonna blow a hole in my pocket, shall be going to a lesbian pub and to another laup saab bar in Joo chiat. Venkat, you may be right, the beer might get in my way. I might also try the pub called Lucas which my secondary school fren recommended to me, it is a cantopop pub but with a supposedly "Thai Girl show" environment. And according to him must put tips in their 'chest' when they walk around. Anyone interested to join me juz give me a shout yea.
Next Sunday is my cousin's first born child one month birthday. Welcome to the world Ariel, you r gonna have fun. I bet my whole life u will get brainwashed by my Aunts and prob my Mom to believe In God and Catholism all those stuff. I know how it feels though. But with ur Father and Mother both a dentist, you will grow up smart.

Just had a run and boy am I panting like a dog. The exams totally turned me into a weakling. For the past two months I have either stayed in hall or just travel back home. Today when I went to NTUC to purchase ice-cream, when my turn came to pay up, the cashier stared at me for quite awhile. I looked at the auntie and I was thinking in my head what did I do. It turned out that she was expecting me to pass her a plastic bag to put in my goods otherwise I would have to make a 'donation' before NTUC would use their plastic bags. That is how long I have been out of touch with reality. This is part of a plan to encourage Singaporeans to recycle plastic bags and reduce plastic bags wastage. I totally forgot about it even though I read about it in the newspapers. I readily support the move, shall have to bring my own cloth bag along from now on.
Earlier today Shujing mentioned that my face look very pale and white. I agree with her, no I am not sick, I have been hibernating in my room for the past two months and haven't been under the sunlight for more than 30mins straight. Gone are the days when I played soccer regularly and had to put sunblock lotion to avoid becoming chao ta. Now I have to bask in the sun to look like a normal person. While bathing today I looked into the mirror and examined my arms and skin, I look like a fucking white chicken. From tmr onwards, I shall embrace the lovely sunlight!
News just came in, Kangli caught my neighbour (the very wuss one) bringing a china girl into his room and then off the light. Guess he needed to relive stress. He looks like a nerd and doesn't look like those kind. I suppose what Kim Hock say is true, people who talk about sex openly are the normal ones. Those who look very innocent are the ones that are actually very hiong. But I now abit scared of my neighbour. While walking to put my stuff in Cheewee room today, I turned behind and caught him spying on me then he pretend not to see me and quicly walk away. Dun noe what he up to acting so weird, thank God I now move home. Kangli wish u gd luck, "lock" the door properly tonite.

Glory Glory Man Utd,
Glory Glory Man Utd,
Glory Glory man Utd,
and the reds goes marching on on on!
A few hours back, I caught the most awesome kelong match ever seen so far after the AC Milan-Liverpool 2005 champions league final. Yes that is my favourite team Manchester United vs Everton. They were down 2-0 but fought back to win 4-2. It was a cosy ride the moment the goalkeeper turner spilled the ball nicely for O-Shea to tap in the first goal for United. I know its his first game for Everton but no one was putting pressure on him and yet he easily 'swee swee' drop the ball nicely for O-Shea. Eating money ah Turner. The second goal was even nicer, a scramble in the penalty box led to ex-Man Utd player Phil Neville to somehow clear the ball into the Everton net. From that angle, even my mother would have decently cleared the ball away better but what to do, as an ex Man Utd player, I am not surprised after the game his brother Gary Neville and Alex Ferguson give him a big ang pow. Not a bad deal, help Manchester United win the game and Premiership title and share the prize money. From then on, there was only going to be one winner with Rooney and Eagles rounding up the score. Great fightback from a soccer fan perspective but bad acting today from the Everton players, want to kelong also must put up a better show mah.
To Chelsea and Mourinho who earlier this season mentioned that United wouldn't last the pace, eat ur words and jerk off ur wankies in Stamford bridge.
Anyway check out this link Daniel send me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wk51lfLfIQ

Just awhile ago I lost the discipline again but this time I won 54bucks. Thanks Yixin for bringing luck to me, muz call u down sit by my side next time again. Sorry Mr Kok I will treat u to milo peng when u come back.
I decided to reward myself with spaghetti for dinner. Initially I boycotted the western stall at can 13 because his portion is getting smaller and smaller compared to last sem. Today after they made me wait for 20min, I have thus decided to add the western stall to my list of condemned stalls together with the vietnamese. They make me wait, I make them wait long long for me to buy food from them.
Back to mugging.....

Last night's game against AC Milan for me has entered alongside my all time favourite United games.
1) 1999 champions league final against Bayern Munich 2-1
2) 1999 2nd leg game against juventus 3-2
3) 1999 2nd game replay against Arsenal 2-1
4) 1999 3rd Round Fa Cup against Liverpool 2-1
5) 2004 League Match against Arsenal 2-0 ( Ended Arsenal 49 winning game streak)
6) 2005 League Match against Chelsea 1-0
7) 2007 Champions league semi final against AC Milan 3-2
8) 2003 Champions league quarterfinal against Real Madrid 4-3
The game deserves special praise because Manchester United played well with a makeshift fringe defence against a very technical Milan side. Henize did well in the absence of Vidic and Ferdinand while Fletcher somehow seems to shine in Midfield centre. And of course Rooney for a superb performance. Scholes and Carrick held the forte well and it was also an honour to see Kaka play with such elegance. Nesta also treated everyone with an eye display of what world class defending is about.
Of course the 3rd goal which Rooney scored one and a half min into stoppage time looks very suspicious to me. With 30 more seconds to go, the Milan player should have pumped the ball into the corner to waste time. Afterall they had a 2 away goal advantage but instead the defender who I think was Otto or Janvuloski swee swee fall down and "pass" the ball to Ryan Gigss who then went on his run to release the ball to Rooney and score the winner. Dida an experienced Goalkeeper who should have covered his angle to the post also swee swee stand in the centre and if to invite Rooneyto shoot into the far corner of the goal which he did. During the game and after there were so many hi-fives between both team players and I am not surprised that the Italians have(as usual) eaten the bookies money again.
I think I shoud be an ESPN pundit.

I read with great interest about the article regarding kelong in Singapore soccer in yesterday's Sunday times. A player reported that an S-league player offered him $8000 to get himself sent off. Ex-bookies revealed tactics on how they lured soccer players into fixing a match. The whole kelong business in soccer though not transparant is pretty obvious in my eyes. Last min dramatic goals are the norm in S-league nowdays, defenders who should and normally easily clear the last ditch balls somehow miskick it to the opponents. Vague effort is made to tackle or close down the attackers and it seem to me that it their minds they are trying to say to their opponent "quickly score la, I already make the path so easy for you, you want us to earn the money anot"
I don't blame the soccer players for taking bribes. The average age a player has to retire is prob about 34. Afterwhich he retires what else can he do for a living? Malays form the majority of the players and lets not kid ourself, almost all of them do not have education higher than ITE. They come from poor families( usually large ones). The easiest way out for them is to throw a game and use that extra income to feed their families.
If I had honed my skills when I was in primary school I might have made the grade to become an S-league player. I would definitely throw away matches and bet through my friends. Ben Chen, ur skills not bad, you should give it a try and if you make it pls let me know, I will fix matches through you.

I was checking my IPPT results which I took last june on the ns portal.
Situps - 40 (5pts)
Broad Jump -234 (4pts)
Shuttle Run -9.7s (5pts)
Pullup -12 (5pts)
2.4km run -10.56 (4pts)
Overall - Silver
Basically the only thing standing in my way for gold and $400 is the 2.4km run which has to be run under 9min45s. For the past two weeks, I have starting running the 199 and 179 route to condition myself. After my last paper on the 2nd may, I will begin an intensive running and swimming programme everyday and hopefully by june I can be ready for IPPT. I think the last time I ever did such a crazy programme to train fitness was in secondary 3 when I was preparing for the national youth taekwondo tournament. I remember running every single day and doing drills which almost made me close to vomiting. My instructor was a psycho and his mantra was simple, when you puke it means u have given 100% effort, otherwise if not u must continue training until u puke. Glad I am now in a more civilised environment.
If anyone wants to take IPPT let me noe. I will be taking with Zhan Rui at the end of May.
Wish me luck folks! And all the best for the exams to everyone!

So the titanic battle is set for the 19th of may when Manchester United faces Chelsea in the FA cup final. On top of that, both sides could possibly face each other in the champions league final. There is also the premiership encounter on may 9 when United travels to stamford bridge.
Througout the season, many people have tipped Man Utd for the treble. Of course with so much hype, United could also easily lose the plot and win nothing at all in the end. Even if they were to end the season empty handed, they would still get my respect and support for the breathtaking displays they have put in this season. Compared to Chelsea's squad, United's squad look meagre in comparison and it will be sweeter if Manchester United fridge squad can beat them in the trophy's hunt. Manchester United have battled the odds this season, Ronaldo fighting the boo boo boys, Ryan Giggs and Scholes showing that they still have the hunger, Alan Smith showing his fighing dog spirit etc. In terms of depth, balance and money budget, Manchester United are winners in my eyes already this season. People talk about Ronaldo and Rooney but for me, the player for this season is Nemanja Vidic, no nonsense defending from him. His absence have shown in the last few matches and the next few matches will determine how badly they will miss him. I wish him a speedy recovery.
Back to moment area and virtual deflection. Damn can't wait for the exams to end.

While taking a break in between studying, I went to youtube to search for the videoclips of the recent Asean federation cup semi-final match between Singapore and Malaysia. Singapore drew that match and later went on to win on penalties. On closer look and replay, I noticed a few keilong moments. When Shi Jiayi took his kick, the ball went directly to the Malaysian keeper but somehow the keeper punched the ball backwards into the net. Afterwhich he sat down and smiled. When Jiayi jogged back, Alam Shah was pointing his finger at him as if to say "lucky the keeper help you punch the ball in otherwise today we cannnot get our money". It is simple mechanics, when the ball strikes towards your hand, the ball will rebound back, but in this case the ball went backwards in the net. There was also an instance when Alam Shah high fived with the Malaysian keeper. I couldn't believe that it was so friendly considering the rivalry we have.
Finally, when Malaysia took the last penalty, the kicker took a tame shot and Lionel Lewis saved the kick which enabled Singapore to win. The Malaysian captain put his arms around the player who missed the last kick and was smiling away. I can't see how a team captain can smile after a loss unless he has money in the pocket given by someone to throw the game. U gotta watch it to believe it.

Early this morning, I caught the champions league game between Manchester United and Roma. Man Utd fashionably whacked Roma 7 goals in style. They were aggressive right from the start closing Roma down quickly and challenging for every ball. Heinze and brown played magnificently well in defence and credit to Rooney, Smith, Ronaldo and Carrick too. It was a night were passes were pin point and shooting was accurate. It ranks up together with the nights where United beat Real Madrid 4-3 at home.
But the score also represents a night of 'kelong' in soccer. 7-1? Total goals 8, I wonder how much the payout is. After the whistle, the Roma players must have been gleaming with joy inside their hearts. I always knew Manchester United would win the 2nd leg, esp after I saw Paul Scholes dying to get a red card in the first leg. Barely 30min into the first game, Scholes was ferociously tackling players as if he wanted to get send off. He must have known that the 2nd leg will be bribed in favour of United otherwise why would he want to miss the 2nd leg. Since he knew United would win last night, he therefore got a red card to clear off his suspension.
Also, Chelsea won 2-1 last night thanks to a last min goal from essien. Too good to be true? U bet. God knows how much money the goalkeeper and defenders took from Abramovich. Soccer today is sadly all about money. It is no longer a sport but a movie entertainment. Fifa does not control the soccer world, Ladbrokes live betting is the new Fifa. What a superficial world we live in again.

While sending my clothes to the laundry, I saw a paper pasted on the wall written by somebody which said "To the person who throw his clothes into the washing machine while my clothes were still being washed, you are an inconsiderate person...blah blah.....if you want your clothes back pls come to room blah blah..." I applaud the person who wrote that, he is standing up for many people who have experienced the same problem and it is about time these incorrigible idiots learn a lesson. If such a thing ever happened to me, I would probably throw the clothes in the rubbish bin.

At lunch today, I was thinking back over the years and the friends that I have made. I am proud to say that I had the opportunity to come across many good friends in secondary school, JC, army and NTU. But sadly I also had to come across a few friends that should time ever turn back, I would not want to know them again.
I would like to mention a friend in particular. Some of you might know him and he might read this but to each his own. I shall call him Mr weather because he acts like the weather, when the weather is good in your house he comes to visit you, when it isn't he steers clear of you.
Mr weather is a practical person who believes that money is everything. I give it to Mr weather for having an ambition is life and the amount of effort he puts in to achieve his goals. But what I detest is the way he treats people around him. I remember when Mr weather had an injury to his leg, some people had the heart to help him, driving him around, buying back meals from the canteen. Yet somehow, weatherman did not say a word of thanks to them when he recovered. Somehow everything was forgotten.
Mr weather also likes to boast about his wealth in front of people esp girls. But if my memory serves me correctly, being a friend of his for about two years, he did not even buy me a cup of tea or milo. Speaking of girls, he even went to Church for a gal but when the relationship was over, even God was omitted from his plan. I feel sorry for the girls sometimes, they see one side of weatherman but not the other. I believe that when you like someone, you should accept that person for his/her bad points and not only the good and if you can accept the bad, you can go all the way.
Mr weather once wanted to invest in a business plan and suddenly he started calling his friends around him his 'brothers'. Once again, when all was over and done with, everyone was divorced again.
I find Mr weather very superficial, coming to you only when he needs help or want things to be done. Yes we all use other people in someway but we at least treat our friend to a meal or drink. For all the money Mr weather boast he has, it is an irony that I did not had the luxury of a treat. I know first hand of a few others who have experienced the same problem with Mr weather and many have washed their hands clean on him. I think back on whether it was because of something wrong that I did before to deserve this karma and if that is the case, there is nothing I can do about, otherwise I wish that had circumstances in the past be different, I wouldn't want to know the weatherman again. Mr weather may go far in life next time but I wouldn't be the least bothered, he will never ever earn my respect. As far as I am concern, my 'friendship' with Mr weather was over long time ago and I do not wish to be associated with his name again.
To my friends, when the weatherman comes to visit you, I advice you to wear the correct clothes.
Leeds United are finally out of the relegation zone. Hooray!

A few hours ago I caught the repeat of champions league highlights. There was of course the ugly footage of Manchester United fans being assaulted by the Italian police. Naive people will easily say that it is typical of British fans to behave in unruly behaviour and therefore deserve it. But upon looking at the replay, it seemed that while both sides of fans were taunting each other, only the English fans got the beatings. Women and children were not spared and an eye witness said that a disabled man was beaten. Even when the United fans were on the ground and not being a threat, the Italian police continued to whack them. A female fan filming the scene had her camera confiscated. Thankfully sky sports managed to film the scenes down.
So as usual, both sides have pointed the finger at each other. As for myself, I have this to say about the Italians. Italian people are by far the most racist and fucked up human beings. For the ignorant, black players in the Italian Serie A are often verbally abused by opposition players and fans. Monkey taunts and gestures are often belted out at them. At the 2002 world cup, when Ang Jhun Hwang's header knocked Italy out, Perugia immediately sacked the player in the same week. In Europe, most developed nations have integrated black players in their national squad. As for Italy, throughout history till now, there has not been a single black player in the squad. One wonders how many Negros have Italian citizenship's.
Sure, Italians may be proud of their heritage and national identity, but in a country where crime, racism, mafia and corruption is so prevalent, it makes me doubt whether Roman Catholicism is really the national religion. Italy is predominantly a catholic country, the Vatican headquarters is located in Turin, people regularly go to church on sundays to pray and seek forgiveness but somehow come mondays to saturdays, it seems that they are allowed to switch off and do whatever shit they want.
I hope justice prevails, I hope Manchester United will beat Roma next wednesday and should Roma fans get injured in a riot, well as Catholics themselves, may they forgive the Man United fans.

In a few decades, what is now happening to the polar bears will very soon happen to us. Polar bears today are facing extinction because of global warming, where high temperatures are causing ice-bergs to melt which means that polar bears will have nothing to float on. I feel sorry for animals. They haven't done really anything wrong to us yet we have fuck up their lives so badly. The feeling is akin to someone accusing you of committing something you didn't even do at all. You were not involved yet somehow involuntarily dragged into the situation. So with due respect to animals, I really feel sorry for them for the shit we have given them.
It is not as if global warming isn't a known fact, in fact it has been publicised in the newspaper regularly. Yet politicians choose to settle other layman issues first. I don't think the current situation will ever change and by the time people should start to panic, it will be too late by then.

I was backstabbed so hard and I didn't even know it. Worst of all I was backstabbed by someone who acted so friendly towards me that I never even suspected it at all. I am pissed because one small issue was blown out of proportion by people who have used my situation for their own benefits.
My message is simple. If you wanna threaten me, go ahead and threaten me. I have never feared anyone and I certainly won't back away from any fight. Bring it on. If u wanna talk the walk, u better walk the talk. More details to be updated on my brother blog.

I was having a peaceful sleep, well not exactly peaceful because I dreamt that I was at the airport about to leave for Brunei for my reservist. But anyway my sister called me at 11 45am, I couldn't make out what she was saying because I was still in lala land so she said "u still sleeping ah? Nvm I tok to Dad. " It turns out that there will be a Francis Yip concert in Hong Kong later this month and she asked my Dad if he wanted tickets. At lunch my father told my mother about it and they both agreed to go. My mom asked for the ticket price and my dad said 450 singapore dollars each. My goodness, I cannot believe that my father would actually request to buy the most expensive ticket. $450 I would rather wait for the Dvd to come out, spend the remaining money on shark's fin, abalone and even wage it on Toto.
Over the weekend, I only did one tutorial. I am still trying to motivate myself for the exams but can't seem to find the motivation to do so. I need coffee!

A few months back, Kangli read an article that highlighted the health benefits of eating pineapples. Ever since then he has been acting strange. He behaves like a monkey and a retard at times and I think his crankiness can be attributed to the pineapples. So people pls abstain from it.
On my way up to my room, I saw Wilfred and he was wet all over. I thought he went for a run but it turned out that he was 'pon' at the nie pond and it wasn't his birthday, the reason was because in his four years here he had never been 'pon' so today was his day. Well done mate!

Today at tea-break, Kangli went to be a hero and ordered noodles from the vietnamese stall and he was whining when he found out that the aunty put ketchup in his soup. Seriously, who in the right frame of mind puts ketchup in soup? I really feel that the vietnamese pricks have a break down in their logical thinking. Last time I told them not to put chong they defied me and say must must, good! I can't wait for them to close down.
Afterwhich I went to play soccer and I am now regretting that decision for I made my hamstring injury worst. Thinking back, my mother was right when she discouraged me from playing soccer in primary school. To her soccer is a game where boys run around aimlessly, get themselves injured and dirty. But deep down, I knew she didn't like the idea of me mixing with Malays. My mother and relatives have this assumption that soccer=Malay=Never study=EM3.
To a certain extent, she was right about that. As they say, Mommy knows best. As for now, I am in pain right now, wish I could have a beer and numb the pain.

Yes, I decided to give my blog a face-lift, he deserves it anyway. Also, I created a brother blog for him. His brother will contain only juicy details, scandals and bad-mouthing while this blog will continue to remain family orientated. I know the layout of this blog is similar to Kangli's and I admit it is a bit gay but that monkey refuses to change it. I guess nothing comes without a price.
The past few days have been so humid I am practically sweating everyday. Now, my decision to go over to hall 16 for the air-con is made simpler. I think I shall cut my hair this friday, at least it will make my head cooler. Was thinking of leaving it long like the Italian midfielder Andrea Pirlo but I have to admit I look like a cock with long hair. I kinda like my current armani spike crop.
I am hungry. A hungry Parry is not a happy Parry.

I should have seize the opportunity today,
but I didn't,
instead I let my pride rule over my head,
and I know that one day,
I will live to regret it
I hate to live life with regrets. I have been thinking for a long time about what would happen if one day should the higher beings come and tell me that tomorrow will be my last day on Earth. What should I do for my last day then?
One thing for sure, I would defintely say goodbye to my friends and parents, probably throw a party and have some booze. I will make a trip down to a chinese restaurant and wolf down abalone, crabs and shark's fin soup.
My only regret would be that I was never able to see the seven natural wonders of the world. I certainly wouldn't want to depart from this world without travelling around the world to experience the cultures and see our beautiful Earth.
I need money!

I don't know why but I have this sudden urge to go clubbing. On a positive note, I am proud to say I have abstained from alcohol for a month plus.
Looking through my cupboard earlier today, I realised that I have alot of clothes bought but have yet to wear. I think I am an implusive buyer, buying stuff that I like on the spot but not in need of.
Well whatever.

Today is the official last day of playing poker in hall for this sem. Bo bian, exams coming muz study. Overall I think i might have won a few bucks. I was so happy last night as I finally got my first straight flush of my poker career. My roomie Yip Kangli aka Monkey probably lost 40 over bucks. Sorry man for dragging u to play with us but hey juz remember, Winners don't quit, quitters don't win. Even Yan Fei lost before until he strip naked, haha.
Went to catch the movie 300 today and it was pretty alright, admire the guts these people have in the face of adversity.
Recently my morale is a bit down. I was chatting with Magdalene last night and she thought I was in year 3. A few weeks back, someone also thought I was in year 3. Another person last year thought I was in year 4. Damn it, I can't be looking that old right? I asked my good friend from Army to tell me the truth and he said I look a bit old too. Shit! Let me officially declare it, I am a YEAR 2 student, still young and sweet.
Next week is gonna be a mugging week to prepare for the quiz, I hope I can pull throught. Tech comm presentation is also next monday, I really pray that Mr A as Kangli calls him don't fuck up his part or I might bring him to the crocodile farm near my house and throw him in.
Till then Kopi Siew Dai out.

The sub-com appreciation dinner last night was fantastic especially since the food was delicious and free! It was also a night to honour residents who performed well in the inter hall recreational and sports games. For the final year students, it was also a farewell to them. I think John gave a very good and inspirational speech. And of course cheers to the unofficial sportsman of the year, Ow Yong Wengfai!
The past few days have been really humid for me, as I lie in bed trying to sleep everynight, I am really tempted to apply for hall 16 next sem to enjoy the air-con. Then again its really hard to change hall after knowing great people around.
As for Kangli, getting scandalous ah, wish you good luck in chasing dumb blonde.

The saying shit happens rang so true to me today when I went for the west side selection. Playing only ten mins and barely touching the ball much, I pulled my hamstring while running back from a corner. Ok la my fault for not warming up before hand, was playing poker in my room before that and won 10 bucks! Anyway the standard for the west side is kinda of poor in my opinion, a lot of players whom I thought were very deserving of a place in the squad didn't turn up, which should have made my stake for a place even easier until that injury. Watching the whole match, I have no doubt I would have made it inside if shit didn't happen. No sour grapes though, I guess what comes around goes around.

After two weeks of playing poker, I have begun to believe that what I have watched on Tv is in fact really possible. I used to think that the straight flushes and Full house that Chow Yun Fatt or Li Nanxing got was all make believe, but after getting full house myself for a total of three times, I declare that it is a reality. Also after seeing Kay Wee win 28 dollars in his first two games, I also believe in beginner's luck.
Oh no I am getting addicted. Fuck.

I can't explain why my performance today was so shaky. By my standards, I should have been more composed. Thankfully the team isn't those that make so much noise whenever one makes a mistake. I think that is why I have begun to love this team, great team spirit around and esp great fighters. Uncle Joey last week knocked a teeth out from a opponent when the opponent tackled him from behind and give the guai lan bin after that. Lucky Uncle Joey is my team mate and not my opponent.
My lack of fitness really showed today and I am now considering whether I should still go for the inter-hall soccer east vs west selection this friday. I wouldn't want to embarass the hall and furthermore the trainings should be quite shag. Tohari Paijan is supposely conducting the trainings and liasing a session for those selected to train together with the Gombak team. I suppose for our area the standard should be easier as compared to the other side comprising of hall 6, 7 , both finalist. Whatever the case, there should be at least two matches to play so I suppose I'll just take it as playing two free matches. Good luck to myself for this friday!

At this moment, I am kinda of pissed off because of one group member in my tech comm project. In short, he is a son of a bitch. I can't see how someone can be so bo chap in project discussions. He can keep silent throughout the whole meeting and unless prompted, he will not say a single word. He does not take a single initiative to even organise anything and doesn't seem worried about deadlines. It pisses me after even further when we give him simple tasks and without even checking, he can straight away reply dunno. Well done la bro, i wish u good luck la. I just send an email to our tutor to shoot u liao, I will fucking bring u down.
Lucky for the past three nights, I won 20 over bucks from black jack and poker so at least my mood isn't that bad yet.

My back hurts and its due to bad sleeping posture. The recess week begins and it is another stark reminder that exams are gonna be near soon. I hate this sem big time because of tech com. Project meetings are a waste of time and the project is more time consuming than my core modules. I still haven't decided what to do next week apart from playing catch up with my tutorials. And while I thought I could get some peace at home, my mother invited my relatives to our house for dinner later, which means I have to entertain my Aunts and Uncle who try to engage in "young generation" talk which they have no oblivious idea about. Sometimes I feel that my relatives ask questions and generate talk for the sake of creating some buzz and noise. And it always ends up in asking me to go to church and pray to God. I don't know what I have to do to get the idea across their heads that I will NEVER EVER convert to being a wanker. It has been over ten years and they never get tired of trying to brainwash me. They think that they are my saviour and will liberate me from my shell. I think that they are just trying to score points only. Bunch of wankers!
Anyway Happy Lunar New Year nonetheless.

Having watched finished hotel rwanda, I defintely aprreciate the comfort and safety that I have enjoyed so far. To me, the movie proves a couple of points, that every action brings about an impact, like the red cross lady who went the extra effort to locate the niece and re-unite them with their relatives. Crazy dictators can really screw up the whole country and the rest of the world can do their part to help the poor but in the interest of themselves choose not to. Of course, the western powers are not always obliged to save the world and have to protect their own soldiers, but selling weapons to rebels and militia doesn't really aid peace. At the start of the show, Don Cheadle pleads with the reporter to report the chaos to the world but sadly the reporter replys " so what if the Europeans see this? They will pause for a second and shake their heads in pity but after that second, they will continue eating their cereals and read newspaper".
I admit that I am guilty of that sometimes, reading about peoples' plight and think in my head why has the world come to this and after awhile, the thoughts vanish and I get back to chasing materialistic dreams. Why doesn't God help the people that really needs help, does he really want to test the rest of us to see if we will lend a hand to the needy? I am sure people in first world countries pray for peace but what about those people in third world countries who pray for peace? Where do their prayers fall on? Does God listen to prayers selectively? Is it more beneficial to pray for world peace every single night or is it better to get one's ass down to help out physically? If one's son is naughty the parent usually gets the blame for not taking him in hand. If the world is in chaos who gets the blame then?

It was a pretty close encounter today and sadly we had to be eliminated by penalty shootout. We took the lead first with a try by Adam but slack defending allowed them to equalise. Afterwhich we held on even till sudden death extra time. In the penalty shootout, only Adam managed to covert a goal. By the fifth kick, hall 2 led us by a goal so me being the fifth kicker had to covert it to keep the game alive. It is the first time I have ever taken a drop kick but when it left my foot I was confident it would go in. Sad to say, it hit the crossbar and we lost. Not that I felt like Roberto Baggio, in fact I was proud that my kick was the best after Adam, at least it was near on target. Andy missed by a bit while Harith also screwed up his kick. Hengkia better, miss the ball totally. Lucky ref give him one more chance which fell short off target again. Ok la, at least we held our heads up high.

I hate it when every module decides to hold their respective quiz on the same week and worst of all the same day. So far 4 quizzes have been confirmed and others still pending. Totally spoils my chinese new year mood. Anyway my sister will be back for reunion dinner and hopefully she brings back some goodies from Hong Kong for me to munch.
Also I have decided not to take anymore ang pow from my cousins who are already married. Feels kinda of weird that we are of the same 'rank' and yet still receiving ang pow from them. Wasn't it not too long ago when we still played catching and silly stuff together? Damn it looking at my niece makes me feel old oreadi. Shit!
I still haven't really warmed up to this semester yet, yes I know its week 5 liao but honestly I am still in dec holidays withdrawal mode, totally miss those heck care days. My time-table sucks big time with tues, weds and fri having lessons at 830am. Somemore with tech-com involving project work and idiots not contributing and on the other hand EID project so simple yet made so complicated by the china guy, I can't help but feel sick of this sem, hope this sem finishes soon.

At lunch today, I was telling my parents about getting a job after graduation. I said not to worry, the future looks bright, after graduation, I will start a charitable organisation or self help social organisation. The plan is simple, cheat the public of their money and bankroll all the money myself.
Also last night, I managed to watch the Spore vs Malaysia game at the national stadium. The atmosphere was great with 55000 spectators in the stands. I wonder how it feels like in Barcelona's stadium. More importantly, we beat our neighbours on penalties. Yet somehow, it didn't feel like the Malaysia cup days when my father brought me to watch when I was young, gone are the likes of Fandi, Abbas, Sundram, Lim Tong Hai and Malek. A new generation has taken over. The stadium is gonna be torn down later this year to make way for the new one and so will the memories of what my father experienced when he was a teenanger and what I had experienced as a small boy.

Blood diamond is a fantastic show, definitely two thumbs up. What drugs was to the movie traffic, this is what diamond trafficking is to blood diamond. I have also comed to respect Leonardo Di Carpio as an actor, of lately, I am impressed with the shows he has acted in.
Last week, a casual chat with my neighbour, yes the wussies I mentioned last time, I found out that we share many common interest ranging from the movies we like and especially the drama series lost. According to him, the explanation and the mystery may boil down to a book which the character Sawyer read in season one. The title is watership down written by Richard Adams. It is a psychological test based on rabbits where they are placed on an island with food and shelter being provided by farmers. The catch is that the rabbits know they are being pampered by the farmers so that they can be killed for their meat. However it explores the possibility that some rabbits are relunctant to escape and fend for themsevles. That was roughly what happen in season one when Sayid opposed moving into the jungle on Jack's idea. Sounds pretty interesting, shall search for the book this weekend.

First and foremost, a very big thank you to all those who came down to support sepak takraw today, you people really made a difference tonight. It is the first time I have seen so many people down to support a sport in Hall 12. Good job Wengfai! Special thanks to Cheewee also for wishing me so much luck on msn too.
From the day I played the 2nd game in the preliminary rounds, I never expected to enter the semis. I think the reason why many of us feel so gutted after losing today is because we are the true underdogs in the whole tournament, many of us are new to takraw, we do not have any star players and we entered the semis through sheer hard work.
Playing the deciding game was definitely pressuring, especially since we went down 6-0 in the first set and fought back to 20-18. Needing just a point to win the first set, we kinda self destruct to lose 22-20. I felt confident in the first set esp since I scored quite a few pts. But 2nd set, I totally fuck up big time, dunno wat the hell I played. Not surprising we lost overall. However it has been a great experience and I have no regrets waking up early for matches and training in the late night.
Only 1 more dream is left, RUGBY!!!

I had a poor game today, passing was bad and crossing was lousy. It was no surprise that at half time we were 3-0 down. Helmi wasn't happy and demanded a pressing game for the 2nd half and it worked, we pressed the opponents and took the game to them winning 6-3. There were three new players, Joe, a former Geylang and Balestier prime league player, Farleh, Hazid's brother also another Balestier prime league player. The third was Akrab, pretty impressive as well. At this rate, I would have to buck up real soon with the growing competition even though we practise squad rotation. At least from today's game , I learnt from Joe postioning and closing down of wingers as a full back. I think it will take awhile for me to adjust back to the team's playing style from the more easier relaxed inter-hall games.
Oh man school starts tomorrow.

Once again, we choked during the final part of the game today. With 8min more to go, our keeper mishandled a simple high ball and punched it into our own net. Into extra-time, a simple bounce which the keeper shd have comed to out to take led to a mis-communication btw him and Lee Chang which allowed the hall 2 striker to pounce on the mistake and score the golden goal. This is the 2nd time whereby we have taken the lead and lost the game at the end.
I am proud to say I performed my role in this tournament well, at the very least none of the goals conceded could be attributed to me. I am disgusted to say some pple have let the team down. James for not coming down for stupid reasons, Weiliang for fucking up some simple balls, Alan Smith for drinking the nite b4 and having to sub himself out with a few min more to go, yea I bet the real Alan Smith would be proud to know that, so much so for calling urself Alan Smith, Kok Liang for complaining tireness after barely playing 10min. Its a total letdown to me, Hengkia, Chang, Joel, Liao and Ivan when we put in a gutsy display only to be letdown in this manner.
I know I wasn't showing much respect when I refused to take the team photo after the game but thats me, I hate to lose and I still can't understand till this day how some people can still smile and laugh after losing, it says alot about character.
Guess team sports ain't for me.
