Nothing can beat the feeling of seeing your favourite team lift the champions league trophy, the captain kissing the trophy before hoisting it up above his head. When Van Der Sar palmed Anelka's penalty away, I had to pinch myself to believe that we had won it. My mates and I were jumping around in joy pumping our fists in the air. Finally after 9 years of hurt, we are the champions once again!
Credit to Chelsea, they never gave up. I felt that both sides were equally matched even till the penalty shootout. But two players particularly stood out for me. Owen Hargreaves for his tireless runs and Nemanja Vidic. The Serbian practically shut out Drogba for the whole game yesterday until Drogba had no choice but to slap him. I have to admit, when Ronaldo missed his penalty and John Terry lined up to take the decisive spot kick, my heart was in my mouth. Thankfully he slipped and the rest is history.
To the Manchester United team, well done lads! To the Man Utd fans out there, we have the bragging rights now!
