In yesterday's post, I mentioned about the coffin being dug out of the field below my house. Well it made it to page 8 of the home section of today's straits times. Six other coffins were reportedly being dug out and the reports claim that the field used to be some teochew burial ground. Sweet. To think I used to happily play soccer on that field last time. The field is currently being constructed to be Serangoon sunshine park. My dad was boasting to me that he came out with the name at the Resident committee meeting. So I guess credit to him, history is made, in future should anyone challenge me in the park say 'eh ur father own this land ah', at least I can guai lan back 'he name the place leh'. Haha just for laughs.
Au Revoir Henry
Lets not make a big deal out of Henry leaving Arsenal for Barca. EPL may have lost one of the biggest star on world stage but then again how many times did we hear his name last season. When Cantona left Man Utd abruptly in 97, a big deal was made out of it but then new names like Beckham took over the limelight. For me, Henry wasn't spectacular last season, he used to be a good player but recently I noticed that he would blame referees for any ball that he lost. He might be abusing his 'honest player' tag abit more often, prob trying to influence the ref that he does not play dirty and if he ever lost the ball, it would be because the opponent has fouled him. Then again Barca will have made a good bargain if they can suit him into the threesome of Ronaldinho, Messi and Eto'o.
I am currently still deciding on which language to learn. I am stuck between German, Spanish and French. My dad used to be able to speak German, my sis is quite adapt at French so maybe I should pick up Spanish, then would be able to understand La Liga better. I used to be able to speak a few basic German words when I was in Jc, partially because I was into a German punk rock band Rammstein. I would decipher the lyrics from a site that would translate the words into English. I now wonder what made me learn Malay during the second sem of my first yr in ntu, anyway I dropped it after the first lesson, became a bit stupider after that.
Found out that quite a couple of committees in hall experiencing alot of chaos and cock ups no thanks to the mess that HAS created. I am not in a position to comment on stuff, all I know is that HAS has a lot to answer for. In a way, lucky I never join any committee, with all the shit currently happening around, I dun think I would be able to handle it well given my foul mouth and temper.

Today while my father was looking over my room window, he noticed that the field below our flat which has been undergoing construction recently yielded a coffin. Seems that the contractors while digging the ground discovered it. My dad being a kaypoh went down and asked the contractor about it, turns out that the coffin was empty. The field below my estate used to have many bizarre happenings. When I was still in primary school, they discovered a Bangladeshi worker hanging dead on a tree which was at least 4-5 stories high. There was no ladder so foul play was suspected. I pity the private house owners who currently reside on that land now, maybe at night they got extra family member. Maybe I shd spin my own story and tell it on incredible tales.

In today's newspaper of TODAY, it was reported that Tony Blair is ready to become a Roman Catholic. However the Pope was said to be unmoved because he opposed Mr Blair of supporting the US-led invasion of Iraq. He also didn't agree on Mr Blair's views on abortion, stem cells research which goes against traditional catholic views. Furthermore Mr Blair used to be an Anglican.
In my humble opinion, Pope Benedict XVI should be the last human being to air his views. First of all, a couple of months back, Pope Benedict in a random speech 'accidentally' insulted the Muslims, criticising something offensive. He then had to make a trip to Turkey to make an official apology. Talk about someone making a mistake, here is a prime example.
Now personally I agree that wars are morally wrong, but what about the holy crusades in the past? Millions of lives were killed because Christians and Muslims were fighting over Jerusalem, the holy land which both sides claim as rightfully theirs. Even till today, Arabs and Jews fight over it. As George Carlin said, more wars have been fought in the name of God than any other wars in history, so Mr Pope Benedict, before u tok about the Iraq war, clean ur arse first.
Secondly the Vatican does not support abortion and stem cells research. Alright on moral grounds, they might have a point in abortion but wat about stem cells? Sure scientist are trying to 'play god' but think about how many people can be cured of their disabilities and diseases with the research. Its easy for the Vatican to say so, they are not the ones suffering from any illnesses.
Lastly so what if Mr Blair used to be an Anglican. Prisons and drug rehabilitation centres have banners and slogans saying Jesus loves you , everyone deserves a second chance, Jesus will welcome anyone regardless of background with open arms. My eyebrows are definitely raised here. If an Anglican who wishes to convert to Catholicism is viewed with suspicion by the Vatican, surely more questions can be raised if they can welcome ex-prisoners and drug addicts. What message are they sending out here? That Mr Blair as a politician has a different set of criteria, that the Vatican practises selection?
WANKERS!!!

Yesterday I did some 'factory' work at DHL. Initially I though it was gonna be sweat in there, turns out that the place was fully air-conditioned. The job scope was to find stock and count them, make sure the figures tally. Now as simple as it sounds, we had to recount some stocks which were earlier counted by some Malays, obviously they cocked it up so we had to clear up the mess for them. The staff were quite desperate at first, asking everyone who could work ot until 11pm, but when I realise that for every two hours, the staff took a 'mandatory' 30min tea break. Take away tea-time, the job could have been finished earlier. Quite a few others including myself were doing things to look busy, trying to show that we are doing something which in fact not. At times, we were just pushing the trolley around the warehouse pretending to look for something but just toking cock away.
I can't wait for Asia cup, Copa America and Rugby world cup to start, my betting instincts are feeling itchy.

Window shopping is a very dangerous hobby to indulge in. I would label it as a sin. Earlier today I made my way to the central National Library to borrow some books. Since I was in the vicinity, I thought why not just drop by Suntec and do some window shopping. I ended up at the nike shop where I saw a Critiano Ronaldo shirt, it was on sale and pretty nice and so zap, I bought it. Then I went over to the neighbouring Royal Sporting House where I caught the Adidas Predator boots going for $14o, usual price $299. No shit, it is Kangaroo leather not synthetic plastic. It was simply a crazy bargain I could not refuse. It is only about 2years old but with Adidas coming out new models every few months, I suppose they deem it as an old model and try to get rid of it fast. Anyone who is interested to buy better hurry, only a few sizes left, 8.5 and 9. Definitely a good deal and these deals only come around once in a blue moon.
Ya I admit I am an impulsive spender. Solution? I shall stay at home. Reduce the risk of temptation.

I'm back from my reservist training and also sick at the same time, guess my body is not used to the dust and smoke from outfield training. It was good to see that almost of my platoon men came back. The first day many of us including myself were caught by the rsm for long hair and so had to spend 5 bucks just to zip off the back of my hair. But other than that, being a reservist has its privileges, we could walk around camp without head dress, unbutton clothes, cut the parade square. For the VCs, we even drove and guided the broncos without helmets.
Most of definitely put on weight since leaving the army, many had to unbutton the side buttons on their trousers. I also know why I was called up for the armour road relay run, while I thought running 11min was slow, it seems that after Zhan Rui and Ben, my timing is the next fastest. It was a shocker to see so many people who used to get gold timings last time flunk their 2.4km run now. But looking back on the past week, I would still say this ICT was pretty alright, at least no one shouted at us or threaten us with signing extras.
I am so disappointed that I am sick, my dad bough bak kwa yesterday and I can only see it and not touch it. Hope my cough recovers soon.

Tmr is ICT and I shall be gone for five days. Till now, I am still not mentally prepared and really dun give a shit about this whole reservist thingy, they better dun play punk with me.
My secondary school class gathering kinda flopped last night, could tell that we still have cliques among ourselves, I could see Annie wasn't comfortable talking to Chen Yee while Eleanor and Chee Keong just stared into blank space, is this what has become of us after leaving secondary school? But of course as the night progressed, we gradually broke the ice and it was nice to find out how each of us did after leaving school, would love to see more gatherings in future but I will definitely not be the one organising it.
My legs are about to cramp now after today's testimonial game, we won 2-1, a perfect ending. We were at full squad except for Joseph. This has to be my best game in months, haven't displayed such form for quite some time, if I were to rate myself I would give myself 10/10, no shit. I would like to attribute my display to my new inspiration, Nemanja Vidic! Full credit to the opponents, no sloughs themselves, coming straight at us right from the second half, fortunately thanks to me and Gab, we held firm. Ben Chen though disappointing, waste my time going up for corners. Chill dude, next time dun hero play earlier game la.
My mom is so sweet, knowing full well I will be eating shitty food for ICT, she cooked mee sua with sliced abalone for dinner, wonderful.

So I finally cleared my Ippt yesterday, yea I got my silver and 200 bucks but still left disappointed with my performance. I did eleven pull ups, going below my usual 12 for the first time. Thankfully I still managed to jump 239 for broad jump, but for my 2.4km run I ran 11 17, guess I shouldn't have eaten too much corn flakes before the test, ok that was a weak excuse. Well at least I can use the money to pay for my nike shoes, puma soccer boots and Manchester United shirts without feeling too guilty.
Next monday will be ICT, just heard news from ang that my whole section gonna chao keng, only ke fucheng will be coming back which is great news to me, I suppose it will be an excuse to lobo.
After watching episode 22 of lost last night, I was left more bewildered. More new characters are coming in and I can forsee Lost ending up like another x-files with no ending. At least heroes is heading to some direction. For pple who are bored with life, click on this link to watch heroes and lost. http://www.watchheroes.sitesled.com/
