This will be my last week of hols before my attachment starts next mon. I need to start waking up early as work begins at 830am daily and ends at 6pm. Lucky sat no need to work. The pay is $600 and even though I am doing site work I am required to wear office attire. Hopefully they will let me change to casual wear. I am not really looking forward to the attachment to be honest but I'll see how it goes.

Anyway it is time to say goobye to 2007. I felt that it has been a great year and I hope 2008 will even be better. Happy New Year to everyone out there.

Today was a sinful day for my stomach. My dad treated me and mom to dim sum lunch at Chinatown and my stomach duly obliged by gulping down all the food. For dinner, we went to a zi char stall near my house run by my mom's friend. The asam fish head curry and chilli crab was finger licking good. I swear I felt a pound heavier after dinner. With my sister returning back home tomorrow, it seems that good food is gonna be on the menu for the next couple of days. No complains though, I can't wait for a smashing good meal.

Hooray! I'm simply over the moon. 1-0 to the champions. Nothing beats putting one over Liverpool. That should shut them up for now at least. For all the taunts and trash talking they still cannot beat us. It wasn't pretty football by Man Utd but Hargreaves and the defence were just way rock solid. Well done lads!

My back pain is back. I think it came from last Saturday's match. I was given a footballing lesson by hall 6. Made a few errors which should not have happened from experience. But overall I put in a decent performance and I am proud of my display against a stronger side. There'll be another chance to make it to the quarters, hopefully my back pain will subside by then. I guess even my back is calling for me to downgrade too.

Anyway I found out from my fren that there is an interhall Olympiad website and discovered a few of my pics. Cheers to myself. After all I'm a star mah. Hopefully by the end of it, I will have a pic of myself with a medal hanging down my neck.
Yea I'm the handsome one sitting in the front row 2nd from left.
Click for better view. My hp no is......hahaha

Its me again(No 8) steadying a throw. Won this set easily without breaking a sweat.
No idea why the photographer likes to take pic of my back (No 6)

I still cannot absorb the shock today after receiving the sms from mindef. Barely a year and I have to go back to the fucked up sungei gedong camp. I know Singapore loves me alot but surely no need to love me so much rite. This is a huge headache because the reservist will fall on my intersem period which technically means I am not allowed to clear a elective. As next year will be my final year, I need to clear as many modules asap and this news is not exactly good news. Furthermore the last time I went back for reserviest it was not fun at all. It was a waste of time going outfield doing stupid drills and all. This has left me with no choice. I've done my part faithfully when I was doing my national service and its time I thought for myself. NTU medical centre here I come!

I'm glad that touch rugby is finally over which also means that my duty is done. Although we lost I felt that the team put up a gutsy display as we were missing at least three star players. But I'm still glad that everyone played with a smile on their face. So proud of the people that came down yesterday. Gonna drag myself to the swimming pool now, need to start training up.

I found a pretty inspiring Man Utd video on youtube which I think is one to watch to psyche up before taking to the field.

I'm gutted that boxing isn't shown live on scv. The titanic battle between Britain's Ricky Hatton vs USA Floyd Mayweather is on tmr. I caught the weigh in on youtube and even though it was conducted in Las Vegas, I guess judging from the video the whole place was filled with British people. The atmosphere was electrifying. I can identify with the singing and chants because they are also used in English football matches. Mayweather seems pretty cocky and I definitely will be rooting for Hatton cause he really looks fired up for this. It is only a weigh in but sure looks as if the bout could have started there itself. I suggest blasting the speakers for this.

Finally I am back in my sweet home after spending the last three days in src field soaking in rain fulfilling my linesman duties. It isn't a glamorous job considering that soccer players are constantly screaming foul language at us. Then again it is a middle class sport.

Now I will be pissing myself to say that I am happy with the way my sports sec has been running things. In short, she has fucked everything up big time. On thurs, I was called down last min to play soccer for the school becoz the Malays dudes were not able to make it. Although the squad was assembled last min and hardly anyone knew each other, we stroked the ball around as if we had known each other for years. We played as a unit together and convincingly won our match against sce. I enjoyed the match and really fancied our chances of beating EEE to advance to the semis. But when I did not received any call to attend the match yesterday, deep down I knew she muz have gotten the malays to replace us. True enuff, the malays came and started in place of the majority. They displayed fancy footwork but lacked any spirit and structure. Not surprising, they got trashed 4-1 by EEE with a hat-trick scored by my roomie. I'm glad for Jame but to be honest, they were really easy goals. I reckon things would have been different had the original squad played. I'm not having sour grapes at not being able to play yesterday but frankly speaking its no way to treat the players who had won the game earlier only to be left out like that. The lads yesterday had no fighting spirit and one malay fella started a fight when he could not take the defeat. Cheers! CEE did not lose the soccer game yesterday, Letitia Poh 17th CEE Sports sec lost it for us. I can't believe a twat like her could be the one making decisions for the soccer team.

Anyway, I will be having a good rest for the next two days, loads more shit to come next week.

I have totally lost all respect for my sports sec and assistant after watching them convene ISG soccer today. There is no proper planning and structure, everything anyhow whack, no backup plan and no welfare for us. Imagine arriving at SRC in the early morning and to be told alright mate u r the referee. ' Ok loh, then where are the yellow and red cards? " "Err dun have la, u juz give them warning ok? " Swee la, well done. A donkey could have organised things better. Tried to give them some sound advise but apparantly they want to do it their way. Bollocks. Lucky at least got eye candy Kyna to see. Wish them luck tmr.

I am quite appalled by the actions of some of my fellow sub coms. Some of them have been skiving since their appointment, haven't seen many coming down to help out with saikang. Best of all, the soccer manager returned to Indonesia when the games are to be held this week. There has not been a single training and the squad isn't even assembled. I proudly believe that I am the only manager to at least organise a training. Why grumble some may ask, well for starters it means that some of us have to perform double tasks. Also I believe that due to the bo chap spirit of the majority, I've been getting many arrows from my otherwise incompetent bosses simply becoz I have helped them on numerous occasions. But its pretty unfair that instead of imposing their authority on the slackers, the first option is to always arrow me tasks and assume that I will help. Well folks, good news, Lim Kopi has had enuff. Its time to pull out my own bag of tricks up onto their sleeves. If pple can use going back to Indonesia and China as an excuse, I can go back to "Penang" anytime.

Some good news to cheer myself up, I got my second choice for IA. Shall be working for LTA come jan to june. Thank goodness because it is only three MRT stops away from my home.

I borrowed a Stephen King movie titled Rose Red about a team of psychics trying to investigate a haunted mansion. As usual with Stephen King movies, it isn't really a direct horror kinda show but somehow still manages to give one a creepy and spooky feeling. It doesn't help when I watched it at 2am in the dark too.

Can't wait for friday. Brewertz!
