Where will u be on May 21st?

We did it! Moscow here we come! No Rooney, No Vidic, not a tidy performance, but 1-0 result, I'll still take it, thank you very much. When the referee blew the final whistle, I was brimming with pride. At least I can taunt everyone in office. The Man Utd scarf hanging on my desk cubicle is no doubt flying high. Special praise to Tevez and Park, they worked their socks off. Hargreaves looked as if he had played at right back for years. Messi was the man though. His sublime skills left everyone chasing his shadow. I can't figure out how the ball can stick to his feet like glue. Anyway son, better luck next time, or else join us.

Whoever said that football is a game of 22 overgrown men chasing a ball in the park had better catch a Man Utd vs Chelsea game. Last Sunday's match was a highly charged game. The last 5 mins showed the character of United, Rio losing his cool, Hargreaves showing his temper. I like to see that in the players, it shows their passion. After all, winners are bad losers. As a passionate fan, I was also swearing vulgarities every few mins at the Chelsea players, haha. Surprisingly my dad didn't say anything, I guess he made an exception for that match. Anyway come May 21st, there is nowhere I rather be than at home watching the finals. Hopefully we get Chelsea for a revenge match.

The buffet lunch yesterday wasn't so bad after all. I deliberately skipped breakfast and by 11 45 my stomach was crying out for food. There wasn't much variety but I whacked the sushi, teriyaki chicken and dory fish to ensure that I had a hearty meal. I didn't feel so well after lunch. In fact I was down with a slight fever in the evening and started coughing. I suppose the lack of sleep from watching champions league footie, snacking on Shiyi's donuts and Cecilia's chicken pie finally caught up with me. I really have to commend Cecilia. Her tea break snacks are always delicious and irresistible. I am so glad I have passed my IPPT already.

I am looking forward to this thurs. The deputy director is leaving for a new post and so he is treating everyone to buffet lunch at Sakura. I am not sure if the food is nice but it is international buffet style and since it is free, I guess just whack la.

So far so good, I am doing fine in the ERP department. I just learned how to extract vehicle speed data for various roads in Singapore. The study will determine the ERP rates in the near future. The data is very tedious to analyse and even the manuals are so sophisticated with diagrams and theories that I have given up reading on them. But the engineer is nice enough to progressively teach me new stuff and not throw me straight to the gallows.

All Manchester United fans out there, prepare your 'we are the champions' song. We can pop the champagne real soon.

I am beginning to develop a fetish for older women. Geez I cannot imagine if I told my mom that. I think she will go berserk.

One thing I learnt today. Dun be a hero and try to shelter someone in the rain when you only have a small umbrella. That was what I did today when I saw Chew Yuen stuck at the Mrt. I offered to share the umbrella with her knowing well we would both be wet. Naturally I sheltered her more and got myself soaking wet. But well at least she treated me to chicken wings today. If only it was Shiyi instead, that would have been a tian mi mi moment to savour. Atlas, her response lately hasn't been as spontaneous as before. I guess I have to face up to the reality that she is older than me and I am still a young punk yet to graduate : (

I gotta say I really missed Jose Mourinho. I missed his banter so much I went to youtube to search for his memorable interviews.

Premier league football may be more exciting to watch nowadays in terms of the pace and end to end action but I still preferred the premier league of the late 90s. Yup, I started watching footie in 94 and back then there were players like Baggio, Romario, Vinnie Jones, Gazza, Dennis Wise, Roy Keane. Duncan Ferguson was a mad bulldog and I always thought he should have been in boxing instead. Paolo Di Canio never failed to make me laugh with his antics especially the days when he was still at Sheffield Wednesday sporting tight shorts. But my all time favourite had to be Eric Cantona. He had an aura around him. He also made flipping the collar over the jersey way fucking cool. He made every son on the street wear the number 7 on their backs and flip up their collars. I never forgot his comeback match following his ban. It was against Liverpool and he scored the penalty against them. He is a living example of a legend. This is the clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hwhcvgo4rYk&feature=related

Thanks Ethan. I bet M2 is cursing me under her breath now.

Ok, time for some soccer updates. Liverpool is through to the Champions League semis. I bet they think they have won it already, they think the Gods have blessed them in Europe. I can't wait for them to reach the finals and get spanked by Manchester United. Liverpool is the most gayish team I have witnessed. They fuck up big time yearly in the premiership and with nothing to fight for except fourth spot, they have the luxury of resting players for Europe and 'throw' away games in the EPL. Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea do not have such luxury. In my opinion, they should limit Champions league spots to the top 3 domestic teams, that will give Liverpool a run for their money.

I highly recommend the movie street kings. It has to be the best movie I have watched so far this year. A word of caution though, if you are not used to violence and vulgarities, then avoid this show.

I took my IPPT today. Good news. I got my silver and the money! I had a perfect score for my static stations. I surprised myself by jumping 243 for SBJ, didn't expect myself to jump that far without training for it. I ran my lungs out for the 2.4km run and after finishing, I couldn't breathe properly. Now even my legs are aching real bad. But well, its over, I can treat myself to a nice meal as a reward.

Monday was a significant day. In the morning en route to my MRT, I saw police and a dead body at the multi story carpark near my house. I later found out from my dad that a Bangladeshi worker committed suicide due to depression. Then during site check in the late morning, our vehicle tyre punctured. I jacked up the bloody car and then discovered that the power tool to remove the sockets were missing. Then after the tyre was changed by the repairmen, our driver who didn't check his blindspot collided with another vehicle. It was a minor accident but nevertheless, inspired me to buy 4D for the first time in my life. Gonna check soon. **crossing fingers**

I gotta bitch about this old engineering assistant that I am attached to. He smelly nvm, he is starting to piss me off. While walking, I drink water, he niao me. I eat banana, he also niao me, I drink kopi peng, he niao me say coffee cannot drink with ice. Hello! What is your problem? And he really likes to tell me stories about life in the 60s-70s when he was young. Now why the fuck would I be interested. Nvm, two more days to go before I transfer out. Hang in there Parry!

I am supposed to take my IPPT next thurs. But so far, input is > output. Every other day that I run, the next day people will feed me all kinds of snacks. Today Cecilia gave everyone cheese cake. For lunch, Chew Yuan treated everyone to Boon Keng's Boon Tong Kee Chicken rice. I was so honoured to be invited. I finally feel part of the family. Lately, I am included in the emails being circulated around, they have been bitching about all the bosses taking leave together at the same time. I guess I have entered the circle of trust. Anyway the bill came to $227, it was a heavy lunch, naturally I returned to office feeling sleepy. But I managed to keep myself awake thanks to Football manager, yes I have installed the game on my PC to play : )

I dunno why old people can't seem to get my English name right. In my new department, the engineer persisted in calling me Bartley even though I told him otherwise. Guess I better introduce my chinese name in future. The engineer is damn old la, even have the old man smell, I couldn't breathe properly in the car with him. He liked to talk abt history, explained to me where the first Yeo Hup Seng and KFC outlet was, how the name Dhoby Gauht came about, how Indians in the past used to wash their clothes, Japanese occupation and lots more. Fuck man, really cannot tahan. Lucky I only attached two weeks to him. Whew.....
