This will be my last week of hols before my attachment starts next mon. I need to start waking up early as work begins at 830am daily and ends at 6pm. Lucky sat no need to work. The pay is $600 and even though I am doing site work I am required to wear office attire. Hopefully they will let me change to casual wear. I am not really looking forward to the attachment to be honest but I'll see how it goes.

Anyway it is time to say goobye to 2007. I felt that it has been a great year and I hope 2008 will even be better. Happy New Year to everyone out there.

Today was a sinful day for my stomach. My dad treated me and mom to dim sum lunch at Chinatown and my stomach duly obliged by gulping down all the food. For dinner, we went to a zi char stall near my house run by my mom's friend. The asam fish head curry and chilli crab was finger licking good. I swear I felt a pound heavier after dinner. With my sister returning back home tomorrow, it seems that good food is gonna be on the menu for the next couple of days. No complains though, I can't wait for a smashing good meal.

Hooray! I'm simply over the moon. 1-0 to the champions. Nothing beats putting one over Liverpool. That should shut them up for now at least. For all the taunts and trash talking they still cannot beat us. It wasn't pretty football by Man Utd but Hargreaves and the defence were just way rock solid. Well done lads!

My back pain is back. I think it came from last Saturday's match. I was given a footballing lesson by hall 6. Made a few errors which should not have happened from experience. But overall I put in a decent performance and I am proud of my display against a stronger side. There'll be another chance to make it to the quarters, hopefully my back pain will subside by then. I guess even my back is calling for me to downgrade too.

Anyway I found out from my fren that there is an interhall Olympiad website and discovered a few of my pics. Cheers to myself. After all I'm a star mah. Hopefully by the end of it, I will have a pic of myself with a medal hanging down my neck.
Yea I'm the handsome one sitting in the front row 2nd from left.
Click for better view. My hp no is......hahaha

Its me again(No 8) steadying a throw. Won this set easily without breaking a sweat.
No idea why the photographer likes to take pic of my back (No 6)

I still cannot absorb the shock today after receiving the sms from mindef. Barely a year and I have to go back to the fucked up sungei gedong camp. I know Singapore loves me alot but surely no need to love me so much rite. This is a huge headache because the reservist will fall on my intersem period which technically means I am not allowed to clear a elective. As next year will be my final year, I need to clear as many modules asap and this news is not exactly good news. Furthermore the last time I went back for reserviest it was not fun at all. It was a waste of time going outfield doing stupid drills and all. This has left me with no choice. I've done my part faithfully when I was doing my national service and its time I thought for myself. NTU medical centre here I come!

I'm glad that touch rugby is finally over which also means that my duty is done. Although we lost I felt that the team put up a gutsy display as we were missing at least three star players. But I'm still glad that everyone played with a smile on their face. So proud of the people that came down yesterday. Gonna drag myself to the swimming pool now, need to start training up.

No idea why my skin is peeling so bad

Another new scar on my leg thks to soccer

Saturday, December 08, 2007

I found a pretty inspiring Man Utd video on youtube which I think is one to watch to psyche up before taking to the field.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS30VjTQH7U&feature=related

I'm gutted that boxing isn't shown live on scv. The titanic battle between Britain's Ricky Hatton vs USA Floyd Mayweather is on tmr. I caught the weigh in on youtube and even though it was conducted in Las Vegas, I guess judging from the video the whole place was filled with British people. The atmosphere was electrifying. I can identify with the singing and chants because they are also used in English football matches. Mayweather seems pretty cocky and I definitely will be rooting for Hatton cause he really looks fired up for this. It is only a weigh in but sure looks as if the bout could have started there itself. I suggest blasting the speakers for this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_yvd3NJsjg
Finally I am back in my sweet home after spending the last three days in src field soaking in rain fulfilling my linesman duties. It isn't a glamorous job considering that soccer players are constantly screaming foul language at us. Then again it is a middle class sport.

Now I will be pissing myself to say that I am happy with the way my sports sec has been running things. In short, she has fucked everything up big time. On thurs, I was called down last min to play soccer for the school becoz the Malays dudes were not able to make it. Although the squad was assembled last min and hardly anyone knew each other, we stroked the ball around as if we had known each other for years. We played as a unit together and convincingly won our match against sce. I enjoyed the match and really fancied our chances of beating EEE to advance to the semis. But when I did not received any call to attend the match yesterday, deep down I knew she muz have gotten the malays to replace us. True enuff, the malays came and started in place of the majority. They displayed fancy footwork but lacked any spirit and structure. Not surprising, they got trashed 4-1 by EEE with a hat-trick scored by my roomie. I'm glad for Jame but to be honest, they were really easy goals. I reckon things would have been different had the original squad played. I'm not having sour grapes at not being able to play yesterday but frankly speaking its no way to treat the players who had won the game earlier only to be left out like that. The lads yesterday had no fighting spirit and one malay fella started a fight when he could not take the defeat. Cheers! CEE did not lose the soccer game yesterday, Letitia Poh 17th CEE Sports sec lost it for us. I can't believe a twat like her could be the one making decisions for the soccer team.

Anyway, I will be having a good rest for the next two days, loads more shit to come next week.

Wednesday, December 05, 2007

I have totally lost all respect for my sports sec and assistant after watching them convene ISG soccer today. There is no proper planning and structure, everything anyhow whack, no backup plan and no welfare for us. Imagine arriving at SRC in the early morning and to be told alright mate u r the referee. ' Ok loh, then where are the yellow and red cards? " "Err dun have la, u juz give them warning ok? " Swee la, well done. A donkey could have organised things better. Tried to give them some sound advise but apparantly they want to do it their way. Bollocks. Lucky at least got eye candy Kyna to see. Wish them luck tmr.

I am quite appalled by the actions of some of my fellow sub coms. Some of them have been skiving since their appointment, haven't seen many coming down to help out with saikang. Best of all, the soccer manager returned to Indonesia when the games are to be held this week. There has not been a single training and the squad isn't even assembled. I proudly believe that I am the only manager to at least organise a training. Why grumble some may ask, well for starters it means that some of us have to perform double tasks. Also I believe that due to the bo chap spirit of the majority, I've been getting many arrows from my otherwise incompetent bosses simply becoz I have helped them on numerous occasions. But its pretty unfair that instead of imposing their authority on the slackers, the first option is to always arrow me tasks and assume that I will help. Well folks, good news, Lim Kopi has had enuff. Its time to pull out my own bag of tricks up onto their sleeves. If pple can use going back to Indonesia and China as an excuse, I can go back to "Penang" anytime.

Some good news to cheer myself up, I got my second choice for IA. Shall be working for LTA come jan to june. Thank goodness because it is only three MRT stops away from my home.

I borrowed a Stephen King movie titled Rose Red about a team of psychics trying to investigate a haunted mansion. As usual with Stephen King movies, it isn't really a direct horror kinda show but somehow still manages to give one a creepy and spooky feeling. It doesn't help when I watched it at 2am in the dark too.

Can't wait for friday. Brewertz!

Thursday, November 29, 2007

Finally I've crossed the finished line for the exams. Foundation paper today kinda chu stunt. I saw many stuff which were either new or ulu, never expecting them to come out judging by the past year papers. It left me with a bad feeling.

I just read the papers esp the last few days regarding the rowers incident. Its sad that such an unfortunate incident happened and I think the family members will still find it hard to swallow the fact. I guess its a sad reminder to everyone that we should not take life for granted.

Wednesday, November 28, 2007

After close to about a month long of mugging, the finishing line is near. 6 papers down and 1 more to go, it will be cause for celebration after tmr. This semester papers are by no means a joke and pretty demoralising. I spent the last month of my life everyday in the study room. Hell even the seat should know my name now. But well, I guess I can finally smell Chomp Chomp and Brewertz now. Gotta do some serious running soon too as I intend to clear my ippt by end of dec, not helped by the fact that there is RT now. The one month of studying, eating and not doing anything much physical doesn't aid me. Darn.

Back to work!

Wednesday, November 21, 2007

Whoever said Impossible is nothing obviously didn't studied Reinforced Concrete design. By golly this has been a stressful two weeks trying to pia for the examinations. RC design paper left me with the physics 1 and computing feeling yesterday. Hoping for a miracle now. Every morning is a depressing start to saying hello to the notes and textbook again. I gotta hang it there for another week.

I feel gutted for Scotland after they lost to Italy. Really fancied them to beat the Italians. Scotland have won my admiration with their display of gutsy football, not pretty at times but played with plenty of passion and heart. I'm sure they will be back someday.

Cheers to the Singaporean hero.

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

My first paper starts in 2days and so far things look good except for RC design, it really is a killer module. Somehow gotta think of a way to pull it off.

Some resident from hall 13 just complained that their study room was 'invaded" by hall 12 residents. I can't really argue much because the fact really is that 1/3 of the room is occupied by us. Right now I am just acting dumb, hoping no one will know but I guess somehow the day will come where I have to pay my dues.

I had a patchy sleep last night thanks to a nightmare I had. I dreamt that a little girl(ghost) was constantly waving to me and each time I asked a passerby if they could see her, everyone shook their head in disbelief. It was like a scene out from Ghost Whisperer. The little girl then threaten me that if I didn't help hunt down her murderer she would kill me. According to her, her step dad killed her. Thankfully my alarm clock saved me. Anything more than that I could have pissed in my sleep.

I would give myself a B+ for my efforts in revision this week. I've really studied hard but some of the stuff still look like Hebrew to me waiting to be deciphered. I have a quiz coming up in two hrs and hopefully I can aced it.

Luckily I have been watching the American version of the office to keep my sanity in check for the past couple of days. It always help to have a bit of a laugh now and then. Cheers to all mugging hard for their exams!

I got to hand it to my RC tutor. She is a middle age female, friendly looking, the kind who reminds u of ur primary school teacher. But when it comes to playing mind games, she is the queen.

Earlier in the semester, she conducted a quiz. As I was in the fri class, naturally I approached those from the thurs class to enquire on what topic she came out. Thinking that it would be similar, I studied that particular topic and was proven wrong when she came out a totally different question. As my quiz is due tmr, I asked my fren what came out for his quiz today so that I can exclude it from my revision and study the rest. However, the tutor blatantly mentioned to his class not the squeal out what came for their quiz today to us(fri class). What is that suppose to mean? Is it gonna be a repeat question or according to her trend a different question?

Damn it la.

Congratulations to South Africa for restoring parity and winning the rugby world cup. It would have been disaster had England won it.

It was such a joy to watch Manchester United play their vintage one-touch football last night. The good times are back again.

Saturday, October 20, 2007

I took a long jog around my estate an hour ago. I usually take such jogs when I have deep thoughts to sort out. As I was jogging, I thought to myself, should I allow passion and love for the game rule over my head? I continued jogging until the devil suddenly spoke to me. "No Parry, remember how they treated u last yr? Remember the sms? Remember how insulting it was? Remember the two weeks of cold lonely nights? Remember the two weeks when u were shivering in the wilderness needing warmth and water? Remember how they could have helped u yet chose to help others? Remember how they didn't' even bat an eyelid at ya? Remember how they forsake u in times of adversity? Remember???

For once, I choose to believe in the devil. Anyway I must thank Kangli for telling me everything, for without his information I wouldn't have known certain things that I should know but didn't know. : )

I may have forgotten the good times but definitely not the bad times. The six months wait will be long but when the time is ripe, I will drill the final nail into the coffin.

Friday, October 19, 2007

The past week has got to be the most relaxing week for me so far. Amazingly, there were no quizzes to stress about. Tutorials wise I didn't do much which makes me still feel a bit guilty. This sun I shall put a stop to all my slacking and start preparing for my exams. Damn it, football manager came out yesterday and it will take a whole lot of mental strength to resist playing it.

I feel like a loser. I cannot believe I got cheated twice by Kang in a day. Damn it!
I woke up today to a rude awakening of an sms. My school committee president is not too pleased with the sports subcom members for not wanting to turn up for tonight's bonding session at yunnan garden w/o a valid reason. He has thus sort of enforced us to go. Give me a break, its a fri night and just becoz most of the other committees are PRCS and Malaysians doesn't mean I shd stay back together with them. To hell with authority, anyway I told my boss if he were to threaten me some more I will call the police. Hehe.

I feel so guilty yesterday. I came back from school, slept for awhile, went down to conduct rugby training, came back played Sepak Takraw, bathe, texas poker, Football Manager. Shite, I did not touch a single piece of work. Thankfully this week has been kind to me, next week however will be the return of the quiz week.

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

I just found this out from Mr Kang. It seems that now everyone has to pass IPPT in order not to kenna RT. In the past, students were excused from RT regardless of whether they passed or failed. So I guess this is gonna make everyone sweat now.

I am so glad some of the intra cee games have been cancelled. I guess the sports sec finally saw her own folly when the events she organised prob had close to zero participation rate. I am still considering if I shd go down for the soccer friendly this fri. My shin bone still feels pain. But I suppose with the beautiful rain pouring everyday, I can forsee what activity I would be embracing.

Sunday, October 14, 2007

I now fully understand why in the Vietnam war the Americans could not defeat the smaller build Vietnamese. The Vietnamese are really tough bastards. I went to play for my fren's team earlier today against a Vietnamese team. They played with 100% commitment and passion, tackles were flying in from everywhere. A fight almost broke out, thankfully common sense prevailed. I took a hard tackle to my shin and it now feels as if a nail has been drilled into my shin. I guess its time I started wearing back my shin pads.

But as much as I respect the Vietnamese in soccer, I still hate their food.

Saturday, October 13, 2007

This has been a costly week for me, losing money in texas poker. Sob sob. I am poor. It was so pathetic that I could only afford a mug of beer at Paulenars last night.

Next week will be a busy week because of the Intra CEE games. Have to be umpire for Captain's ball on monday. Geeze I dun really know the rules clearly but I suppose shd anyone want to argue with me I will send them off. Wed will be street soccer, Kangli is my team keeper, I know, not the best of choices but this is wat happens when one is short of players. Anyway I decided to name the team Sharky Sevens(SS). Thurs will be rugby training, I hope attendance will be good.

I think there is something wrong with one of my pics. Ever since I joined a network to communicate with a chinese american girl from seattle, I've been getting requests from malay girls to be their friends. I dun see how my pic makes me look like a malay fella and I dun have any intentions to convert so Rajiv, if u are interested, give me a buzz.

In 15 more hrs, we will see if England can pull off the most gayish win in rugby world cup.

Sunday, October 07, 2007

I dunno why but recently I get hungry easily at night. Right now I am craving for Ikea's Swedish meatballs.

I can't believe that England won Australia just now without even scoring a single try. It was all about good old Johnny Wilkinson scoring penalties again. The All Blacks game better not be an upset later.

My neck kinda hurts now. I went for a massage at lifespa in the evening today and while the leg and back massage was pretty soothing and comfortable, the neck part was abit painful. But I didn't want to sound like a wuss so I just tahan. I could hear banging against the wall sounds from Kangli's room so I wasn't sure what was happening. Maybe he got what he wanted.

I am feeling guilty about not doing a single revision for the past 4 days. From the looks of it, I doubt tmr will be better. Late night Tv is causing my downfall. I need to step up the gear next week.

Ok, the stomach is telling me to grab that piece of sardine puff to munch now.

Thursday, October 04, 2007

You know the world is screwed up when,

U sweat in ur room even though the fan is turned on at full blast,

U spot a middle age auntie wearing Adidas street soccer shoes,

U spot Dalai Lama monks drinking coffee at starbucks

The songs u used to listen and like are now considered classics

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

Firstly I gotta apologise to anyone out there who has tried to contact me on my mobile phone either through calling or sms. I am not sure if it is the network or phone problem but recently at times I can only receive all the miss-calls and smses like a few hours late and even a few days after. I hope to clear up the misunderstanding should anyone think that I am trying to play punk by not picking up the call or replying back the smses. I'm the victim here.

I caught the first two episodes of Prison break season 3. Now I know season two took alot of stick for being abit dull and predictable but I forsee season 3 to be promising. Somehow something darker and sinister is going on behind the scenes this time.

Back to revision!

Friday, September 28, 2007

Over the course of the last two days, I've managed to catch up with alot of work. Still lots more to go but I know I am getting there.

I finally caught the bourne ultimatum, yea probably pretty late but nonetheless it was a good show and good movies has no time boundaries no matter when u watch it. Now for Stephen King fans, if u liked The Shining, u gotta catch the latest movie 1408. The reason why I like Stephen King movies is that it is not really about horror but more on the supernatural and unexplained. In some sense the style is unique and different from the mainstream movies so for me 1408 was a break from the normal shows that I watch.

Its 4am and I am still feeling fresh. Can't sleep. My bio clock is pretty screwed up.

Monday, September 24, 2007

I am so happy cos United beat Chelsea 2-0. Not the best performance by Man Utd but who cares. Michael Carrick had a superb game shackling those blue boys. Disappointed with Ashley cole. I used to like him coz he was a tough tackler but seems that nowadays he has learnt to only talk alot and fall down like a wanker. Must have been the Drogba influence.

I was checking out a few Man Utd chants on the net and found a website. http://www.prideofmanchester.com/sport/mufc-songs-players.htm
http://www.prideofmanchester.com/sport/mufc-songs-opposition.htm

I kinda like the chants aimed at the Liverpool team. Here are a few samples.

You Are A Scouser - (to the tune of 'You Are My Sunshine')

You're a scouser,
A ugly* scouser,
You're only happy on giro day
When your dad's out stealing,
Your mum's drug-dealing,
But please don't take my scouser away.

You'll Never Get A Job... - (to the tune of 'You'll Never Walk Alone')

Sign on, sign on, with hope in your heart,
cause you'll never get a job,
you'll never get a job,
sign on, sign on, with hope in your heart....

Steve Gerrard, Gerrard (to the tune of 'Que Sera Sera')

Steeeeeve Gerrard, Gerrard,
He kisses the badge on his chest,
Then hands in a transfer request,
Steve Gerrard, Gerrard...!

A few days ago, a few of my frenz were remarking at how slack the quiz in the module Are U ok? was. The lecturer had announced prior to the start of the quiz that the questions were in the same order and not jumbled up so as not to confused those who wanted to copy their neighbour's answers. I enjoyed his lectures when I was taking it a few sems back, he had that canny ability to make the lecture enjoyable and relaxing. Wished NTU could have more modules such as his.

I borrowed Omerta from the orchard lib yesterday. Its about the Mafia code of honour being broken and the consequences. The book which is written by Mario Puzo looks promising judging from the preface. Also, I got hold of the book Invisible Trade by Gerrie Lim. The latter is about the sex industry in Singapore as related by some escorts experience. I gotta say it was pretty hilarious. Lets just say I didn't know people holding top managerial positions had such weird fantasies.

Tonight is the big match between Man Utd and Chelsea. Two of my best mates from my JC days are coming over my house no doubt to root for our fav team. Which means I have to buy more beer later.

Finally the morning rain has alleviated the humid weather.

Friday, September 21, 2007

I managed to catch the repeat of the Real Madrid vs Werder Bremen match and for once I gotta say Madrid has finally impressed me with their style of play after like 3yrs. I would say its prob due to the influx of Dutch players playing their style of total football which they are reknown for. This champions league season should be an interesting one to watch. Watching the action has made my legs itchy for football again. I haven't played a field match for abt 2months partly due to rain and some reasons. But I will be lacing my boots again this sunday. However its not for the usual social sunday games where there is a referee, Instead I will be joining James and his so called HDB block neighbourhood team. They supposedly bought two standard goalpost at a few thousand bucks and split two teams to play each other weekly. Prob be playing against him. Pace wise I'll definitely lose to him so I guess I gotta play dirty, haha. The people there nicknamed him 'Turbo' for obvious reasons.

Had my investiture on wed. The commitee has a couple of wax, CG,GG. Only Kang will know what they stand for. HAha

The recess week is finally here. Once again, it will be a play catch up with tutorial week. Of crse I will be watching the movies that I've downloaded. I watched Saw 3 and Hostel for the last two days and I have to warn not to eat food while watching. Lets just say that hostel has more bloody and gory scenes than Saw 3.

I hope my newly made fren will dropped by here from the United States as promised. Whack!

Tuesday, September 18, 2007

Last week, I was struggling with my steel structures, could say I was stuck at the drench pits. After consulting the venkat fella last nite, I was enlightened and finally able to start climbing up the well. By tmr i should be able to see the sunlight.

Yo Ben Chen, can help me ask Lee Man Hon whether he still has last season's Man Utd Jersey and this season Milan jersey plus print kaka 22. Post the price on the tag. Thanks alot, buy ya beer someday.

Last nite was a bad night to sleep, it was so freaking warm. I won't be surprised if people were to die from heat stroke in their sleep at this rate.

Saturday, September 15, 2007

True enough, I got fucked by my RC quiz. After asking the previous class what question came out plus the tips my tutor gave last week, I kinda of concluded that design of flange beams was gonna come out. I spent two whole days studying and was really confident of answering any questions regarding flange. Instead doubly reinforced beam came out. It spoilt my mood for the day. It has been a lousy week.

Next week doesn't look promising either esp with steel structures quiz coming along. It will also be a busy week since there is investiture and I am also the umpire for the CEE pool tournament. By the way I am a member of the CEE sports subcom for this year. Decided to join for obvious reasons. Firstly to know more people from my own faculty and best of all, no need to do any canvassing or money raising. After what happened last semester, I decided to take matters in my own hands and not expect people to help me. Its better to have insurance now. The job scope is so much more relax and expectations are not so pressurizing. Having said that, I will of course do my best in soccer and touch rugby for the school. So on next wed investiture, I hereby announce my retirement from inter hall games involvement. Judging from what happened last year, I guess it was an indication to tell me I sucked big time. Fair enough, I shall stick to my principles in life and keep my backbone straight.

Thursday, September 13, 2007

I am beginning to believe that as one grows older, injuries take longer to heal. My ankle injury has been niggling me for a few weeks now and it hurts even more after soccer yesterday. When I walk up a flight of stairs, my knee hurts, when I sleep my bad aches, when I look up at the lecture screen my neck hurts. My body is slowly becoming fragile.

I just found out that my room mate and me share the same birthday just that he is a year older than me. What a coincidence!

I am so fucked for my RC quiz tmr.

Monday, September 10, 2007

I overslept for my morning lectures again no thanks to the cool weather. But the real reason for keeping me in bed was the dream that I had. I dreamt that I was with Jason Bourne yes make no mistake in an espionage scenario. There were a team of us with Bourne being the leader. Everywhere we go, we were constantly chased by the bad guys. It was so real so I guess thats why I overslept. The action was quite heart pumping just like the movies.

Ok reality check, I have to prepare and leave soon, gotta chope seats for the fellas.

Sunday, September 09, 2007

The plaudits may be singing England's praises for defeating Israel but for me, the match was a bore. It simply lacked class. I was disappointed that there was no broadcast of the France vs Italy match. Surely that would have been more interesting to watch after what happened at the world cup last year. Same for the Holland game too, finally the Dutch team looks like they are coming good this time around, with stars like Sniejder, Huntelaar, Robben, Van Persie, Ryan Babel and the new starlet Roysten Drenthe. After letting me down since 1998, my hopes are rekindled.

I also caught the opening game of the rugby world cup between France and Argentina. Surprising France lost, they were a nervous wreck right from the start. In short, the players were jittery. The All Blacks also opened their account by trashing Italy but they too don't seem to be impressive. I think they might have peaked too early way back in 2005 when they smashed the British Lions to bits. They were scary back then and one would have thought they came from another planet. I shall be rooting for my favourite Ireland and South Africa as usual.

As the 6th week approaches, quizzes inevitably start popping up. I have a mountain to climb for revision. I kinda slack the whole of last week partly due to venkat fella sending me a jap drama called liar game. Initially I was quite skeptical and thought it was a crap drama but turns out the psychology plot does make one think alot and keep it interesting to watch. It made me remember a book called The lady or the tiger, a psychology book whereby one has to read the clues and make the correct decision for if the wrong door is opened, the tiger will eat you up. Of course as the chapters progress, there are more doors and more deceptions. An example would be door A saying that the tiger is in door B and door B claiming that door A is lying and door C claiming that either door A or B is lying. It can get pretty frustrating but at the same time very exciting. Rats, I think I shall go buy the book in the recess week.

This post is specially dedicated to Corporal Dave Teo Ming, who two days ago, booked out of camp and brought his SAR 21 rifle and ammunition into Orchard Cine leisure. I dunno what went through his mind then, all I know is what earned me his respect most is the fact that he is or should I now say by right supposed to ORD next month. Well done son, you have done the nation proud.

Today I just made a new enemy. After what happened last week, I could see it coming. After arguing on the phone, its sad that it has to end this way just because of a project. I still believe that I have the right to protect my self interest and to question my decision time and time again was an insult to me. I hate it when people question my decision, its not showing me respect. Granted everyone has problems, I have my own problems to deal with. Just because you are experiencing shit doesn't mean I have to share the shit with you. The world is like that, take it or leave it. You got urself into a mess so why should I have to clean up the mess for you. Stop using me as an excuse to vent ur frustrations. I have my own list of frustrations people own me. Dun ever think for a second that I can be made used of again.
It was kinda of sad to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer walk pass the guard of honour last sat. Niggling injuries having to force him to retire, it was a joy to see him play, may not be the strongest or quickest of strikers but makes up with good positioning and finishing. Also, it was a hero's welcome back for Roy Keane, another United legend. Thankfully United managed to win his team 1-0 though.

The current squad looks formidable even though the goals are not pouring in yet. I have never seen any team dominate ball possession as much as Man Utd. I guess what they need are for the strikers to remain fit and bang in the goals. Two players recently stood out for me, Owen Hargreaves and Patrice Evra. Both are super fit, can tackle well and never seem to break a sweat. My bet is on Owen Hargreaves to win player of the year for the squad.

The rain is making the weather pretty cooling, for which is gonna entice me to take a nap very soon. On the other hand, it also means that my clothes can't dry and if I'm walking half way to school, it can suddenly downpour and drench me. Ok, the bed is calling me now.

An unhappy week

Its been a bad week for me. Had problems figuring out my tutorials. Thankfully the poly mates are a helpful bunch in assisting my enquiries. The stress is slowly starting to mount up and I'm beginning to feel a bit of the pressure. To make matters worst, a friend of mine had to add on to my problems. He has some problems on his own and though I sympathised with his condition, I was a bit pissed off no I should say fucking livid when he tried to imposed his situation onto me. Everyone has to handle problems and if every 20cents schmuck were to come to me for help, I might as well open the salvation army in my house. So to the person concerned, Hey I know I am coming on as being selfish but then again I have to consider my own situation, we are talking about grades being involved here. So I hope the line does not get breached for which I will make things ugly.

On a positive note though, the Macdonalds in NTU somehow cost cheaper compared to last time despite the GST increase. So it seems that there is more reason to eat Mac in school now. Also earlier in the week, I bought a new running shoe, hopefully it serves as a motivation to hit the roads running at night. Finally, I also managed to download quite a few new movies. I hope next week will be a better week. I've tried not to get involved in many matters but somehow people always tend to create problems and trouble for me. All I can say is over the last 6 months, I've been treated like fool and I will not allow myself to be led on by sweet words and empty promises again. Enuff said.

I finally just completed my first tutorial of the semester. The rest has been like half done because honestly the calculations are quite complex. Well at least its a good start and tmr I shall continue the form going.

On thurs, there was a small commotion on the top floor. Someone apparently attempted suicide and though I saw someone who I think might be the person, I rather not jump to conclusions lest pple quote me. To whom it may concern, hey chill dude, its only the 3rd week, dunno how to do tutorial doesn't spell the end of the world. I believe almost everyone hasn't gotten themselves into the groove yet too. I just did my first tutorial an hour ago only.

The weather has been on off the past couple of days and as a result I am having a minor flu now. Hopefully it doesn't get worst tmr though chances it might.

For people who are intending to buy new soccer boots, read carefully. Do not buy puma king boots. I barely wore mine for 3 games and already the sole is starting to split. My heart sank when I saw it. Why is it that honest people like me keep getting cheated. Tsk tsk....

I am disappointed that I cannot change my steel tutorial class. When I approached the subject coordinator just awhile ago to air my grievances, the lady grinned and gave me that 'must be you come and kar jiao me again' look. I gave some excuse and lies to try and convince her that I needed to change class but somehow she saw through my smoke and she immediately said 'you want to change back only becos of the tutor right not because you cannot see the words'. Disgruntled, I decided to accept my fate. Honestly the tutor that is teaching me now isn't so bad, but I can't stand the way he looks. He looks like humpty dumpty, is bald in the middle of the head while the hair grows from the side.

The PRC tutor that is suppose to be teaching the class which is now being taken over by another tutor has supposedly according to the subject coordinator gone to "further his studies". I think she was being modest. Singapore should seriously stop the import of people from china including goods. Today's papers reported on a child clothes catching fire. No surprises, the clothes were made in china. Also China airlines had a plane crash, and its offer to compensate the Taiwanese people is a meagre $150 hongbao. Sweet. I think over the weekend I shall search my house for any Made in china tag. Arh fuck, I think my puma shoes are made in china. Damn.

I've just finished mopping the floor and waiting for the floor to dry. I also just opened the clothing cabinet and my goodness there was a 'hei bee hiam' smell, exactly like how u smell them in the market. James drawer had the previous owner's undergarments still in it, haha. There are wax stains on the floor and I seriously dunno what the previous tenants were doing to each other. So right now I am downloading movies from the sharescan network. But I promise myself I shall do the structures 2 tutorial later.

Once again, hopefully.

I've finally officially gotten my room. Did a check, my left and right neighbours are Vietnamese and Indian scholars. Fuck. In any case I still got the campus security number in my hp. I also got a new roomate(again). Its none other than the all brawn and abit of brain James, haha. Well, at least there will be some banter in the room. Well, the first two weeks of school for me has sort of been a warm up. I shall up the gear next week and start to attempt the tutorials by myself.

I gotta agree with Mr Kang. NTU does really have some cocked up Professors. There is this dork from China who does not prepare the tutorial answers and instead ask the students to give it. Even worst, he borrows the student's question paper. I dun see why the school bothers to continue hiring him. It should be pretty obvious, of all five slots for tutorial classes, it can't be a coincidence that only his two slots have like 15 over vacancies while the other Professors do not have any slots remaining. I rather the school instead of wasting money on morons like him use it to hire some super models to stand in the class and let students admire them. The criteria for engineering lecturers always seem to be old china men who seem on the verge of getting a hear attack. Why can't they just hire a few young ladies, I'm sure attendance rate for lectures will improve and I bet everyone will be right awake.

The answer to all these problems is to stop the influx of china people coming over to Singapore. They stink up our country, have no manners, don't bathe, cook poisonous Char Siew paos, the list goes on.... Oei PM Lee, mai hum leh, wake up ur idea.

Taking the mrt to school everyday may be time consuming but it does have its own perks. One gets to meet all sorts of people from wankers to crankers who do daft things. Just today some bloke was singing happily to himself when it was pretty obvious his voice should be left for the bathroom. One thing for sure, when music is played through the loudspeaker, u can bet ur last penny it has to come from a taufik. Also, when a sexy lady steps into the cabin, u can be sure that every hot blooded male eyes will check her out. Teenagers or young adults will from time to time tactfully sneak a glance but ah peks definitely have no tactical sense. In short they blatantly stare, like wolves ready to pounce on their prey.

Speaking of staring, once in a while I get people who eyeball me for more than 5seconds. It makes me uncomfortable, well last I check, no I don't resemble the latest pin up gay model, no I did not touch ur girlfriend's ass. I guess some people don't understand that staring is very rude. Also, I hate it when people try to push pass ya to get into the cabins when even a donkey can tell it is full to the brim. Just a few weeks back, some old chap tried to take the mickey out of me by pushing me away. Well just as he was about to enter, the door 'kiap' him. I took a dig at him by giving that sarcastic laugh and mentioning a few words of friendly advice. The things most people do to rush to get a seat is amazing. Instead of letting passengers get out first, most old folks stand in the centre and barge forward once the door opens. Its like a rugby scrum. Surprisingly Singapore is not one of the rugby power nations, selectors should start finding potential players at the mrt.

Alright this post is pretty random because I am bored after doing my steel structure tutorial. I dun understand what I am calculating. Cheers to myself.
Well last week kinokuniya had a 20% sale so I decided to part with my cash to purchase "The God Delusion' book by Richard Dawkins. Just reading the preface has convinced me that it was a worthy investment. Before one goes on and say oh its another bullshit nonsensical book, let me just clarify that Richard Dawkins is highly regarded as one of the top son of bitches in the world of science and research so unless one can match his credentials, I would say its advisable to keep thy lips shut. He has written many other top notch books and it would be a disgrace if one does not read them.

To begin with, its an anti religion book, but of course backed up with credible and logical explanations. I've only read the preface and one point to note is childhood indoctrination. I was part of it too, being mentally brainwashed by my aunt and mother to believe in God when I was young. Technically the only reason why I followed my mom to Novena church last time was so that I could eat KFC for lunch. The same thing is happening to my nieces now, they are well brought up and for no reason should they not obey their parents. But I would say that they are too young to make any reasonable judgement for themselves so it would be unfair to say that they believe in God because they know it is the correct thing. Its part of upbringing. Ask a child in Iran who he thinks is God and another child from China and another one from Britain, I reckon the answers will be different. A simple analogy would be if a parent were to give his child read baa baa black sheep and nothing else but baa baa black sheep for his whole childhood life, I bet my balls on the line that should a random stranger walk by and ask 'hey Dick, so what story can ya relate to me', well i rest my case.

I shall share more as I read more. No offence, its a democratic world out there, I have as much right as the Christian next door to preach in what I believe in. Peace out!

According to my pops who heard this from his karaoke singing kakis, some bloke committed suicide near my house multi story carpark last week. He apparently jumped down cos he had cancer. I realised that my housing estate is tainted with people committing suicide. Blagadeshi worker hanging himself from a tree opposite my house, maid jumping down to death opposite my flat. I remember having a nightmare after that episode. I was prob about eight years old and it was my second nightmare. The first one was about Gremlins trying to eat me. Back to the 2nd one, I dreamt that I saw the maid fall to her death, yet she somehow lay on the floor, head bleeding but still eyes wide open looking at me and giving me that hysterical laugh. I will be honest to say that the nightmare scared the piss shit out of me. Well its the start of the hungry ghost festival, I better not say too much.

Peace out.

This is slowly becoming routine, playing soccer on sun morning, sleeping in the afternoon and waking up with a bad headache. Now I know why my mom didn't like me playing soccer last time. Two games and two losses, I think we are gonna be the bottom team but surprisingly everyone seems to have raise their game. Overall the opponents are pretty good and quite fit. Even the ever so fit Hengkia showed signs of shackness. The malays were surprising quite friendly and fair. But somehow someone stepped on my big toe and I suspect the bone might have cracked. Maybe its time to downgrade.

Aunty Helen's birthday was yesterday and no I didn't went down to the buffet to celebrate. My mother went instead. She said the food was fabulous, ate until she vomit in the car. Haha. My father went down to help with the national day block party dinner cum karaoke singing session. Some of the aunties have terrible voices, yet they still carry on singing believing that they are Tsai Ching in disguise. My goodness, they are a national disgrace.

I stayed at home throughout both events watching the start of EPL. At half time I switched channels and watch abit of the American version of The Ring. I can't believe that they would want to make that movie. The concept is cheesy even though I admit I like the Japanese version last time. But u know, the idea of watching the video, phone call, monster climbing out of the well to kill u is quite corny. If such a thing were to happen to me, I know I will be in safe hands. I will let my father pick up the phone call. My father hates people calling the home phone and hanging up so I bet he will tell the monster to fuck off. And if the monster dare come to my house, it will get another fuck off warning from my pops, haha.

I haven't done my foundation engine tutorial, shit, gotta do it soon.

Friday, August 10, 2007

Goodness gracious, one week has just whiz by and hell, next week is the start of the tutorial week. I haven't done a single tutorial. I can barely recall the stuff I learn last sem, everything I see on the lecture screen seems so vague but hopefully it will all come good next week. For the past couple of days I have kept myself busy watching tv and reading the Sicilian by Mario Puzo.

By the way, the laksa at Quad is fabulous, the cashiers can't tell the difference btw a big bowl and a small one. It is a loophole told to me by my seniors so technically while one orders a big bowl, the cashiers will still charge it as a small bowl. Definitely value for money. Geeze I hope they dun read this.

Happy Birthday Singapore

So far, travelling to and fro school has taken a toll on my sleeping patterns, having to sleep early and wake up early, mingle with the office rush hour mrt crowd. But I would like to say it keeps me disciplined, cutting down on TV and drama serials. I even considered staying at home until yesterday while on the MRT, some 'taufik' was blasting his music on the loudspeaker which help me make my mind up. The mrt should fine these 'Taufiks' for causing public nuisance. These 'taufiks' are a hindrance to natural progression, if Darwin was still alive, he would have choke to death examining them. 'Taufiks' are an amazing species, grandfathers rape their grand daughters, siblings fuck each other, 2+2 to them equals 5. Maybe for them Singapore Idol is the equivalent of a university education degree course. Hey the job prospects are 7-11 idiots. Enuff said.

After checking wif the hall office, I shd be hearing from them soon. Although I am still undecided, shd the hall 13 plan succeed, it would solve every problem. Hopefully can pull James along too then I won't have to play against him, haha. Then again, I shouldn't divulge too much, the last time I randomly said something, it ended up being used against me. I know from first hand experience how selfishness can turn ugly, people believing rumours instead of validating the truth, people exploiting certain situations. Best of all, I didn't even wish to be a part of it yet somehow got involved. Looking back, I was too trusting and naive, believing that goodwill still existed in people. Well I guess as the Don once said, the world is what it is and we are what we are.

Selfishness is bliss!

After school today, I went to Hougang mall to buy my dinner. As I was walking along the shop houses en route to the hawker centre, I saw an uncle standing at a shop signaling me with his hands to slow down and walk slower. In my mind, I was thinking who the fuck is this prick to tell me how fast I should walk, so instead I quicken my pace. Next thing I knew, I heard someone in front shout CUT! 再来一次. I then realise that I interrupted a filming process. The actress directly in front of me turned back to re-do the scene and she was none other than Ann Kok. I must have pissed her off because as she turned to walk back, she shook her head and gave me that 'must be you' look. Haha Opps! I apologised to her and quickly exited the scene. But thinking back, I only tried to overtake her, nothing much mah. They should have filmed my handsome face in.

Why is the Toto results still not out yet. Tsk.

Sunday, August 05, 2007

Well in another 9hrs I will be going through the process of waking up early and making my sleepy way down to school for the next few months. Mentally I am still not fine tuned yet, can say I still in nua mode.

My legs are aching today, got battered by Cheewee's team this morning. I suspect his team are on steroids. Even though they had no subs they never seem to show signs of tiredness. In the afternoon, got cheated by Tim to play for his team even though he had like 17 over players down.

Yea and Manchester United won! Always a pleasure to go one up on the Londoners.

More importantly, tmr has a lot of significance. The prize money for Toto is 6.28 million. I promise myself if I strike it alone, I will immediately buy a BMW, a bungalow and imported Havanna Cuban cigars. Hell I will even celebrate with Martell. I will even quit school and focus instead on gambling and investments.

Well it feels good to dream sometimes.

Next sat will the start of the English Premier League season and I am so looking forward to it as many teams have reinforced their squads which will definitely make this season an exciting one.

But to dampen my mood, my mother just dropped me a bombshell when she told me that she is planning to organise a party at our house for my aunts, yes her sisters. And guess what, its gonna be held next sat too! Must be a coincidence. Praise the lord!

I hate these kind of gatherings, esp when there is no occasion to gather for. I mean its not as if they will have itches all over their skin if they dun have a party at someones home. Why can't they just go to Delifrance and have a nice meal. The reason why I am against it is because not only do we have to watch family shows depriving me of my espn, my aunts like to ask nonsensical questions like how am I doing, have I been praying recently, am I facing any problems, if I do then I must pour out my problems to Jesus those kind of bullshit. I sometimes have the urge to tell them that yes I have been praying to Jesus regularly but he hasn't been answering them, oh why? Because I've been praying to him that you pple stop asking me these 假好心 questions but seems like it hasn't been answered. Maybe I should follow my sis and move out of the house. Oei Daddy, do something leh, I know u are reading this and u also dun like them coming over rite. 全靠你了!

Monday, July 30, 2007

I hate it when my aunts call my home phone, yes my mother's sisters. They have a habit of calling for less than 7secs then just when I lift my ass off the couch and walk to the phone, they will 'kiap'. Then when I get back to the sofa, they will repeat the process for abt 2times. When I finally answer it, they will ask why no one pick up the phone just now. Give me a break, what in heavens name do u folks expect me to do, sit by the phone 24-7 like a Macdonald receptionist? Good morning Ma'am, no sorry the McSpicy is not ready yet. Can't u fellas ring the phone for just a little while more?

Also, my mom has double standards. When my uncle called just now, she had the usual chat then went on to ask abt my cousin who is playing football for some Australian club. He must be doing farely well cos I overheard my mom ranting 'oh that's wonderful, so capable! waa he made it' and there I am thinking what a load of bullshit. Rewind back 12yrs, my mom was shouting at me every night for playing soccer after school, telling me about how footballers are stupid, have no future, can't make it in life. Yet there she is singing my cousin praises for being a footballer. Well done! Anyway better not say too much, my father has taken to reading blogs recently and by any chance he could be reading this. Hey Pops, dun rat on me to Mommy ok? I've been vacuuming the floor everyday, cheers!

Tmr will be the official last week of holidays before the semester starts and looking back, I can honestly say I enjoyed my holidays to the fullest. Managed to catch alot of classic movies, did lots of reading which the education system in Spore would never ever teach.

I still haven't gotten my room, from the looks of it I prob won't. I believe it can be attributed to the professor in charge of accommodation or student affairs. He is the grandfather of all son of bitches. I still can't figure out what went into his peanut brain when he made those decisions. Last time I checked, NTU was and is a Singaporean university. Last time I checked my IC, it was pink and had the words Singaporean on it. And yet on my own home soil, it was decided that foreigners should get first priority for hostel rooms because they came from afar, they paid full tuition fees blah blah.....Well fair enuff, but did anyone point a fucking .22 magnum gun at their heads and threaten to throw them to the pigs if they didn't come to NTU? I wouldn't give a two cents fuck if George W Bush wanted to apply for a hostel room in NTU and didn't get it, he can jolly well sleep on my floor. My opinion is clear, yes foreigners deserve to have rooms but definitely not at the expenses of local lads like me who did fork out some contribution, it wasn't as if I didn't earn my keep and lay my ass on bed all day. I believe it echos out for many others who did their part and made hostel life fun for all.

I don't really know the Professor's name but I sure know how he looks. He looks like a chipmunk, his hair looks like a curly mop, in short he looks like a walking dickhead. I sat in one of his physics class before and he cracked a couple of jokes which he thought made him funny, but in all honesty I rather watch Barney the dinosaur crack a joke. He has got alot to answer for the mess he has created. I shall take a dig at him when school reopens. Shall write something unpleasant about him on the forum board and sign off with someones else name, yes I am evilllll... The fucking wanker him.

I had a good laugh reading Lee Sharpe's biography. Esp the parts where he describe the scenes when Ferguson would position his face an inch away from him and swear loads of expletives for the slightest stuff. He called it the grandfather of hair dryer treatment and I must admit, from his point of view, he was abit unlucky to be given that treatment. When he scored a goal and dance around for the celebration, he got a bollocking from Ferguson for being daft and cheeky. When he threw a party 3days before a match, Ferguson stormed into his house, ordered his mates out and swore at him for misleading Ryan Giggs when it was Giggs who initiated the idea. I also couldn't believe it when Ferguson fuck him for learning to play the drums, said that it was unbecoming behaviour. Even the car Sharpey drove earned this disapproval. It is no wonder the grumpy old fella dump Lee Sharpe off later and I seriously think it had nothing to do with his on field performance, rather due to his off field antics. Tough luck bloke.

I have the movie Goodfellas and the book the last don lined up in the next couple of days. The last time I was into this mafia shit was a few years back when I watch the Godfather. It did my head in and honestly made me in awe of the organisation and operation of the mafia.

This is a special shout out to Ben Chen. Oei dun forget u still own me 9bucks for the ticket.

First of all, thanks to everyone for the birthday greetings. I just came back from Hong Kong, had a smashing time there. Everyday was basically eat eat and shop. Dim Sum, milk tea, Wonton mee, Crabs, Sharks fin, beef noodles and my fav 臭豆腐! I manage to get nike shorts at 12bucks and colombia water bottle at 14bucks, definitely a bargain. There is a shopping centre which sells factory outlet goods so that explains the crazy prices. The streets are damn crowded and walking along just soaks in the atmosphere.

The highlight of the trip has got to be sunday where my family headed to Macau. Did a bit of sightseeing and loved their Portuguese tarts. Next stop was the casino. I tried my hand at playing 大小 but ended up losing. My father however won most of the time and even made quite a bit at the jackpot. As my luck was bad, I resisted the temptation to play blackjack. As Manchester United were in Macau, we purposely went to the casino next to the hotel so after we left the casino we went next door to check it out, by then there were a small crowd of fans waiting for the United stars. My sis and me waited quite a while before Wesley Brown and Michael Carrick arrived. The rest sadly didn't turn up I dun noe why. No rooney or ronaldo, wasted sia. They hurried into the hotel and everyone rushed to the 2nd floor after them. We waited for an hour and the two stars came out again this time obliging everyone by signing autographs. I believe almost everyone got their signatures. I didn't have a pen or marker even though I had a United Jersey on and could have asked them to sign it but decided to snap photos and video of them in person. Below are my pics from my trip and the videos I took of them.

I had the good fortune to find and borrow the German film Sophie Scholl from the esplanade library and highly recommend it to everyone for watching. It is about Sophie and her brother who distribute leaflets condemning the Nazi regime under the Fuhrer. Facing ultimate death for treason and demoralising the German army, the siblings however stood brave and firm expressing their views. In short, they fought for what they believed in and even though staring down death, they fought for that tiny hope that maybe Germans would see the shortfalls and overthrow the Fuhrer. It is a true story in one of the darkest period in Germany's history and I admire Sophie for her tremendous courage.

Fuck China for throwing away a two goal lead
Fuck Korea for losing to Bahrain without a fight
Fuck Argentina for kelong
Fuck Qatar for dunno how the fuck they can lose to UAE, even Vietnam won them
FucK Thailand, wait no fuck Australia for playing in Asia cup even though they from Oceania

I learnt one lesson. Dun bet on Asian and South American tournaments. It is damn kelong. Esp Asians, they have no pride, they will play to lose when money is thrown at them.

I shall officially stop betting on Asia cup. Its a cue to try the S-league and cricket.

明天会更好!
This morn when I woke up, I stared at the ceiling for a cool 5min. No I didn't go looney. I stared and wonder how the fuck could China throw away a two goal lead and draw the game, how the fuck could Korean lose to Bahrain and how the fuck could Argentina lose to Brazil 3-0. Within the space of 12hrs, all three losses demoralised me deeply.

Then as I made my morn coffee, a voice deep in the back of my head spoke to me "Winners don't quit, quitters don't win" Yes, just like how Yan Fei make his comeback despite his injured right hand in Shuang Tian Zhi Zhu, I shall make my comeback starting this evening. All hope is not lost yet!

Me Bottom left

I took abit of weed b4 the pic

The bloke in converse shirt stike toto b4
Just back from my pri school class reunion dinner and it was smashing to say the least. One thing for sure, our faces have not changed much. Most of us have been doing decent getting along fine. Some of my frenz have tattoos, found out that a few dropped out of school, some had shotgun marriages, some getting married soon. I also ate dinner with Zheng Geping and his wife Hong Huifang, well not really actually, sat at a table next to them. They are quite big in person, both pretty tall. I took a pic of him on the sly but it is pretty blur. I will post my class photos as soon as I get them from the rest.

Well here I am, surfing the internet when I should actually still be at Pasir Ris camp for the armour run. But after much contemplating, I decided to to fuck it. Hell I woke up at 6am for work yesterday, I am not gonna waste my weekends waking up at 6am again for a stupid run so far at 8am somemore. It also daunts on me that as a free citizen, no one should control my life. The only 3 things that will make me run are IPPT( money incentives of crse), soccer and when I bloody feel like running. If the army wants me down for a run, I will consider if its held at my house estate.

Work at Daikin warehouse was a bore. Firstly, as a warehouse for Daikin aircon products, it was ironic that the place wasn't air conditioned unlike DHL. Secondly the workers there are a bit daft in their heads. It also interesting to note that workers there like a bit of a laugh and messing around, but somehow their jokes don't register with me. In short, the joke is not funny at all, its wat I call an awkward moment. But if it makes them feel good, I play along sometimes. I guess working in warehouses is not glamorous, but at least it gives me a sweat and reminds me that I must study harder so that I will not be doing blue collar jobs in future.

I've been catching up on reading this holidays and I have taken much interest in reading about wars like Vietnam, Korean, six day Israel-Arab war. It is interesting to know the ideology and mindset of the world yesterday. It has broaden up my horizons on white and black issues, how opposing views lead to conflicts.

This paragraph is for kangli. Hey I heard about it, tsk Rajiv told me everything liao. Eh don't stupid la, u first time want to do 'it' don't plan to wear 'it', siao ah. What happen to all that Aids and safe sex shit u always preach to me about. Safety first k? hahahahah

For people who don't keep up to date with the news, take it from me, do not eat food made in China. The details are gory and sick.

I am so glad Argentina won today. No I didn't bet on them considering I lost 400bucks on them the last time they played against Mexico. I felt happy because Argentina is a nation that plays attacking football which never fails to entertain me. Italy may have won the world cup but they are so technical and defensive, I rather watch Tampines Rovers play. The lads did well today especially Messi, his second goal was a beauty. Javier Mascherano did a marvelous job in midfield, I was observing how he played, bearing in mind that I will most probably be doing that job when I eventually join Melvin's team. I really hope they beat Brazil in the finals.

I manged to borrow the book "The rape of Nanking" at AMK library today. I had previously been warned that it will stir up anti Japanese sentiments. Before hand, I already hated Japan, no thanks to the influence of Bruce Lee movies. He is still my hero. Furthermore they lost me money in the World cup. I plan to read it on my plane trip to Hong Kong next week but after rummaging through a few pages especially seeing the pics, it comes as no surprise why people till now are still disgusted at the Japanese people for the past atrocities. Chinese people being used for bayonet practice drills, prostitution, competition among the Jap soldiers to see who can massacre 100 Chinese first. I believe the same can be said for the Filipinos should they produce any books abt them. Thus I always rejoice when natural disasters strike Japan, hey hows that for karma, let me spell it for ya Jap skanks K-A-R-M-A.

Alright enough said, I dun intend to invite the Internal security act to my doorstep. The sky is grey, the wind is breezy, it is a signal for my afternoon nap.

Sunday, July 08, 2007

Early in the morning when I woke up for breakfast before my game, I ran through the newspapers and was glimpsing through the sports pages when I saw a familiar face in the hotbods section. Yes no doubt about it, spot on, it was someone I knew and ranks in my hall of fame for totally hate and don't like them at all. Only three people have entered that hall of hate I should call it. What a way to spoil my morning. I will not go into details. People who know me well enuff will know the full story.

Thankfully, the day got better when I went down to sengkang to play for Melvin's team. They had a blend of youth and old players, something like a Bolton team, may not be the fittest team around but they make it up with experience and good positioning. Communication was great and everyone could pass the ball around. I played at right back for the 1st half and defensive midfield for the 2nd, pretty shacked out. After the game, the captain invited me to join his team. He even told me that I did not have to pay for today's game, I think partially to make me feel guilty and come down for future matches. They play around serangoon which is a plus point, furthermore even arranging transport for me. Somemore it is only my first game for them. Can see that they are really committed and the camaraderie among everyone is great, pretty impressed and I think I will join them next month.

Today is the Wimbledon men's final and my money is already staked on Roger Federer. I hope he wins to make up for my loss yesterday.
